San Antonio Texas, traditional style home tour

By Debbiedoo's Team Published: Apr 26, 2013

I cannot tell you how thrilled I am to be a part of Debbie’s Home Tour!  I had to lift my jaw up off the floor when she asked if I would be interested!  Are you kidding me??!!

This is a definite dream come true for me!  Debbie is definitely one of the best and I am humbled to be a part of such a wonderful series!  Thank you, Debbie!!

Welcome to Twelve Oaks Manor! My name is Angela and Twelve Oaks is my passion!

After traveling around the world for 20+ years with my husband, who is now retired from the military, we have settled in San Antonio, Texas. We love it here but do miss our Northwest roots! Originally from Oregon, living in Texas is quite a difference, but we’ve come to love it and enjoy sharing it with you!

Welcome to Twelve Oaks Manor!

Front Porch

I’ve always dreamed of having a big front porch with rocking chairs and enough room to breath. Well, my dreams were answered….

Let’s head inside!

Foyer

To the left is our dining room! Many heirlooms fill this room. I just wish it was used more than a couple of times a year. Still, I enjoy the memories we have made there!

If we continue on through the foyer, we reach the living room.

As we continue on to our left, we will find the eating area and kitchen….the heart of our home!

We round out the first floor with the master bedroom…..

As we head upstairs, we will find the game room which has hosted many family occasions, movie nights and a hot game of cards!

We round out the upstairs with our main guest room. There are two more additional bedrooms which are ‘under construction’! Keep checking back to see their transformations!

We finish up our tour with our favorite room of the whole house which is actually outside in the backyard! With our tropical climate here in deep Texas, we can spend almost all year outdoors. After our many travels, we decided we wanted our own little ‘resort’ so we would never need to leave!

Thank you so much for joining me today. If you ever find yourself in our neck of the woods, feel free to drop in! There’s always ice tea in the fridge and the bar is stocked!

I’d love for you to see more, so please stop by Twelve Oaks Manor!

Thank you, Debbie! I have a special place waiting for you and your family!

Thanks for sharing your lovely home, Angela. Love your beautiful furniture. My daughter has lived in San Antonio for 2 1/2 years–she is a graduate student at UTSAHSC. Unfortunately when we drove her down from Pennsylvania we were so busy buying things for her place and getting her settled in we did not have a great amount of time to sightsee. I hope to get back this year to visit again and enjoy more of the area.

Well, I’m just a bit north of you, DFW area. I will be there for cocktails this evening! 🙂 Your home is beautiful but I could live on the front porch and in your back yard retreat. Talk about ‘relaxing” ~ heaven! Thanks for sharing…always great to say hello to a fellow Texan!

Deb ~ thanks so much for sharing!

Debbie…I really enjoyed the tour of Angela’s home. It is truly stunning… so filled with antiques and beautiful furnishings. I love how each room exudes warmth and coziness. The backyard “room” is something I’ve always wanted! And the front porch…sigh! I’m definitely going to check out her blog, she sounds like a very nice person!
