Master bedroom refreshed

By 46 Comments

Hi there!

Hope you had a lovely day!

Today I am sharing our refreshed master bedroom.

Not too many changes in the Master since the last time I showed you.

However, I do have some new faces and perhaps you have never seen

our eclectic mixed up master.

I have lots of thrifted, gifted and painted decor in here as well.

freshened pillows

First thing to any room refresh are some pillows.

They can instantly change it up.

As you can see my diy dream banner

and stenciled lampshade are still there..

bedroom 043

We really can use new dressers and nightstands…

however, just not in the budget right now.

A little stenciling and changing of the knobs perked it up for now.

drapers from World market

I have had these panels now for a few years.

They were a great buy, and with a the coupon even better.

Cheaper than Pottery barn, and they in fact look almost identical.

thrifty finds in the bedroom

I didn’t fuss much when taking these snaps today.

I left things pretty much how they are here everyday…

I did take the bra off the dresser though:)

My goodwill lamp makever

and Goodwill mirror

still the same too.

vintage thrifted decor

The vintage tea cups were also given to my from my dear FIL.

I used them as vintage tea cup candles now.

Still loving my

window frame over the bed

master bedroom refreshed

The bedding I bought in the Fall.

My white shabby chic bedding  set

was toast.

Between my shedding black dog,

and husband

it never had a chance.

diy tattoo mat

Even my diy tattoo mat remains the same.

Oh and you can see here that my panels from World market were not originally long enough.

So I bought a bed skirt from Goodwill

and added the trim to the panels to make them longer,

with a hot glue gun of course.

masterbedroom refreshed

the wall color is Cappacino by restoration hardware.

If you ever want a blast from the past

you may enjoy our once hippie chic bedroom.

I loved this style for a very long time…

but, it was time for a change.

Always a pleasure to have you.

Good morning Debbie! I love your vintage bedroom style. It’s quite different from the hippie chic look isn’t it? I liked them both though. I especially love your drapery panels in both styles as well. I also really like the bedding you chose for your vintage room. It’s not white but still pretty neutral and you have complimented it so well with the stenciled dresser. Very cute!

What a pretty and peaceful room! I want to lighten up my bed too, and know that if I put a light colored bedspread on the bed, I will regret it!! I have a big chocolate brown lab, and a Wheaten Terrier. They both love to be on the bed!

Hi, Debbie! I love these pictures of your bedroom! If you ever decide to get rid of that window over your bed, let me know! This room really says “You” with all the DIY projects you’ve done. Love the curtains and the stenciled dresser. I hear you on the bedding, I love white and I have a little black dog that sheds and a medium sized white dog that loves to roll in the yard…can’t win! lol!

I love your bedroom! I love the vintage, collected over time, look that it has. I love your wall color too. I had a similar color in my master, then last year I changed it and have been regretting that decision ever since!

I think I’m gonna make a bunting for the bed frame just so my husband can have a laugh every night and say he loves my bunting.

I think your bedroom is really pretty! I love your iron bed. It really sets the tone for the whole room. I also like the collection of pillows on your bed. Sounds like you’ve been able to find some things at a bargain which is not always easy. You’ve done a great job taking things from various places and making it all work together so well.
