Mid Century Modern Shelf styling
Hello there friends! This weekend we are enjoying a condo visit. It was much needed after the holidays and some of the long hours my husband has had to work. He has two twelve hour days a week, no break, and standing on his feet all day. Back in the day when he was a young chicken, it was fine. Now I am seeing it start to wear him down. That’s where the condo resets us and lets us have some fun.
Of course, the minute we got here, I had a project for Mike LOL!! This was a simple one. You see, we have all these beautiful tea sets and China that Mikes Dad has given us that were Mike’s Grandmothers.

Absolutely beautiful treasures that have been sitting in boxes. I didn’t even know what all was in those boxes. Recently while cleaning and organizing our closets, I put this box aside to open. Well when I did, I was blown away.

Some pieces are trimmed in platinum and gold. I said to Mike, I know you don’t want clutter at the condo, and neither do I, however we have these beautiful pieces that we must enjoy!

He reluctantly agreed. We really didn’t have many options to put a shelf. The one single wall we did have, Mike liked what was there. It is a salton cart. I quickly found a new home for it, and he was ok with that.

Thank goodness the shelf was simple to assemble. It took Mike less than 30 minutes.

I am still playing around with styling it. It is a bit of a challenge for me, because I have never had a shelf like this and these are all such beautiful pieces.

This is at 90% to my liking. It’s not where I want it to be yet.

Lucy of course, watched the whole project in progress. She didn’t help though LOL!

The shelf is quite lovely, was easy to assemble and can display a lot of pretties, or books, etc. I will leave you down below some of the resources and line of Nathan James. I can tell you, they also offer wonderful customer service, because I had a piece a while back come damaged. They had out a new one the next day, and did not even require me returning the old one.

Debbie, you have some beautiful pieces to put on your new shelf and I like the arrangement of things in the second photo. How fun to have “new” things to play with!
