Today I am sharing a Martha Stewart inspired wedding cake.
So happy to be back home and getting back into the routine of things.
I have a crazy, busy week ahead as my boys start back to school next week.
This has been the fastest summer EVA~
I have a lot of inspiration to share with you from my sisters wedding.
I will try not to overwhelm you all, but it was so amazing, I want to share it all.
The cake was one of the first pins I happened to pin on pinterest for inspiration for the wedding.

You see I turned my Mom and sis onto pinterest very early on too!
The wedding theme was Daisies, vintage, yellow and browns.
Oh and a few of you ladies complimented my hair.
Hate to tell you, this is only half my real hair.
My Mom and I happened to be in the drug store the day before. I was in the hair dye section and saw this cute little clip on extensions. I tried one on, and my Mom said WOW, that looks really cute.
In the cart it went, and I have to tell you I love this PHONY tail!
Not only did this cake look absolutely gorgeous, and exactly like the inspiration, it also was the best tasting wedding cakes I ever had. White cake with raspberry filling.
Oh my mouth is watering for a piece right now.
My sister also, became a Step Mom on her wedding day.
Gracie is 9 years old. My sister absolutely adores her and Gracie could not be more fortunate to have the loving Step Mom she now has today. Oh and she has really cool Aunt Debbie now, and cute cousins Alex and Jack. Not to mention, My Mom has a granddaughter ~
And that is the story of the cake.
More to come, believe me!~
Sneak peek at one of the coolest tables I have ever seen at a wedding!

Wow Debbie, the cake looks so yummy!! You all look gorgeous too!! Can’t wait to see your mom:-) I use those pony tails a lot when my hair is shorter. I have them in all colors, lol.
The cake is beautiful! There is something about that yellow…I love it!
My niece is getting married in October & we are going crazy because she’s in Texas & we’re trying to plan thiswith her long distance. I can’t wait to see that “cool” table. My niece is having one too, and a little inspiration would be nice! lol
Beautiful! I can’t wait to see more! Oh, the cake is beautiful! Love the the color scheme also, and your sister is beautiful, as is your new niece!
Everyone & everything looks so gorgeous! I would LOVE a piece of that cake right now!!

That cake looks fantastic, Debbie! I love how it ties in with the yellow of the flowers and dresses. It sounds delicious, too. I love raspberry!
I have to say, the colorscheme of your sisters wedding is refreshing! I see sooooo much pink in weddings, but rarely yellow. I love it!! The daisy theme (I love daisies) was such a great idea. The yellow and white is so crisp together and just looks like summer. So perfect. That cake is adorable too. Hope you will continue to share more pics. I love looking at them!
what a pretty and sweet wedding theme.
I have 2 of those Pony Tails in the frosted version. They are so fun, quick and easy.. Gotta love that and you look soooooooooo good with your hair up.. if it ok to say that hairstyle takes 10 years and 10 lbs. off of ya..
well. I said it anyway:)
Gorgeous cake, gorgeous hair!…Love the daisies…daisies were the flowers that were in my bridesmaids bouquets…and they wore my favorite color of yellow…so brings back memories….Thanks for sharing your sister’s special day!
I like happy endings…… for your sister, for your new niece, and mostly for gramma to have a grand daughter.
Hi Debbie Dear! Oh, the cake is gorgeous and does sound delicious. Those little daisies are so sweet. You little stinker, I love your phony tail! I want a phony tail! 🙂
Sounds like your sister is wonder wonderful gal. But she couldn’t be as wonderful as her sissie! 🙂
Be a sweetie,
Love looking at the pics. They are beautiful. The cake is adorable! Hugs and blessings, Cindy
Debbie, Fantastic cake. Love the daisies. Whoever made the cake got it right on!
I know Angie will make a fantastic step mom. You have such a loving family she is going to be one spoiled little girl. She is adorable. I am on the lookout for more.
I just came in from the garden. Southern ladies are not supposed to sweat but my glistening machine is on overload. Why do weeds thrive when flowers can’t make it? Maybe that is the definition of a weed. LOL
Love ya girl, Ginger
Beautiful cake Debbie!! I LOVE raspberry filling in a cake, that’s my fav!! Can’t wait to see more pics! Did I miss a wedding post?
Debbie- What a beautiful cake…and beautiful bride….and beautiful step-daughter- As a Mom who came into a marriage with a son (who was my hubby’s stepson then) tell her to make sure she introduces her as her daughter (if that is okay with the girl). We were very careful to do that so that my son never felt like an outsider-especially once we had other kids….just a thought- I LOVE your hair piece- is that cute, or what? xo Diana
Now, that is just a beautiful cake! I think I could use a piece about right now! 🙂 Your hair looks just too cute in the pictures! What a beautiful wedding! Can’t wait to see more!
The Polka Dot Closet
bring it on! I love the phoney tail and the cake, the picture of your sis with her step daughter is darling….OH I can’t wait for the table! I can’t remember if I asked, where did sis get her wedding dress? Is it vintage? I loved it
No the dress was not vintage. Lord knows she tried, just nothing that would fit her properly. I forget the designer, but it was gorgeous. I will find more details out. I know it was not as expensive as it looked…I believe my Mom paid $700.00 for it…she looked like a Princess.
Love the wedding cake! My wedding colors were yellow too…..33 years ago! Love your clipped on pony. I have been looking for one too!!
Debbie, that has to be one of the Sweetest weddings I have seen in awhile. I LOVE all the yellow and white. And I would have LOVED to have tried a piece of that cake 🙂
It’s amazing! You know how much I LOVE daisies!
And that phony tail is awesome… how great!
If you bought it it’s your hair is what I say. The cake is gorgeous. I adore yellow and what a gorgeous bride.
What memories you brought back,I teared up as I read the post….yellow my favorite color in my 20’s and the color I used for my wedding…and cake was yellow with daisy’s but 4 layes and a sprial staircase around the cake with candles…I got married on my 20th birthday…I love the looks and you have a wonderful sister….love you hair…you have to keep those little hair pieces to play with….my Daughter in law as very fine hair so she has used wigs to play with….my son says it is like being married to different women…one day long sassy hair and the next back to her Audrey Hepurn pixie cut…fun…
PS can you send me your address I have a little ….cupcake for you….I think you will find fun…a couple of trinkets can go inside….
Oh can’t wait for more to come Debbie! Loving it so far…what I’m very interested in is the bouquet…with all those vintage pins….see my anniversary is coming next month and that would be like the perfect gift…a wedding bouquet that never fades! Luv that you are back…keep us posted!
My heart is really into this wedding….our anniversary is this Saturday and our colors were yellow and orange. My china is white with daisies….I can’t wait to see more!
and it tasted wonderful:)

Your sister looks lovely and so do you. Can’t wait to see more pics. I’m originally from Niagara Falls and my husbands from Cheektowaga. We now live in Pa. It’s always nice to see a reference to Buffalo. We make it home 3 or 4 times a year. Love your blog. You are always so upbeat!

Oh I love weddings and her choices. I had daisies at mine and so it’s good to see someone using them in this day and age. The cake was beautiful. Aren’t you still on a high? It took me a few weeks to come down from my son’s recent wedding.
Gorgeous bride! The cake is beautiful…wish I had a piece right now too. 🙂 I’m sure your niece will enjoy a wonderful, loving family with all of you. I really like your dress, etc., too. Can’t wait to see more!

looks like a fantastic wedding! the cake is really really cute!
Thank you all for the kind comments! We had a wonderful day and mom and sister made it perfect! I couldn’t be happier with the turnout. My dress is a Maggie Soterro (Isadora Ann). It fit with the theme perfectly and was exactly what we were looking for and not a bad price! Our cake also had a layer of Tiramisu which was delish also!
Gorgeous cake and beautiful bouquets!

How darling! Yellow flowers have always been my favorite. And, although I had yellow flowers at my wedding, they were not as cute as that! And that cake! She looks so cute standing near it!
