Magazine copy cat inspired ideas {knock off decor}

By Debbiedoo's Team Published: Apr 25, 2012 · Modified: Feb 25, 2015

Hi there everyone!

Here you will find some Magazine knock off decor Spring and Summer ideas done by the very best in town.  Bloggers!

This by far is  my favorite party in town!

In fact, I do believe it is the only party in town.

I was inspired about a year or so ago to challenge us all to do this.

Today we have 37 of your Magazine copy cat inspired ideas to share.

Funny thought I had today! When we were kids growing up, we hated to be called a copy cat now didn’t we?

As adults, especially out here in blogland, we do it all the time.

In fact, I am thankful for all of your inspiring ideas.

Welcome to My Magazine copy challenge.

You must source out all your inspiration in order to be a part of my party.

I thank you for that!

This challenge is much easier than you may think.  Once you find your magazine inspiration, all you have to do is copy it and put your own fun twist on it.

This was my inspiration!

{adore magazine}

I loved the back drop and colors.

This challenge cost me 1.99 and some creative time.

Very simple though.

I had all the craft paints on hand, and the sponges, from our Bathroom vanity makeover.

Don’t ask me what I was doing…I just was letting my hand and sponge go wild.

The flowers were free…which I will be sharing more details on those soon!
So pretty!

See my pretty back drop?

It was really fun to do….

Packed filled bouquet…..

Does not get much simpler than that!

LOVE.  I wish I had a place to put my canvas art.  These pastel colors however, just do not work in our home.

I am sure I will find another use for the canvas in the future.

Let’s see what you all came up with!

    I have been so excited for this party! I saved this stinkin bench in my garage and didn’t paint it until today so I wouldn’t want to post it early! I cheated a bit and copied Shannon at Fox Hollow Cottage’s bench because I love it so much!

    You did a great copycat, Debbie! I love how you captured the background in your inspiration picture and the flowers {which are so pretty}. I love all those pinks, but like you, I don’t have any room to really use them in either.

    Debbie, your inspiration photo also inspired me when I first saw it last year. I fell in love with Michele Armas’s paintings and attempted to do my own, but it didn’t turn out nearly as good as yours or the artist’s. So, I bought one of her smaller paintings! I am absolutely in love with the image you chose, and I think you did a terrific job recreating it.

    I can’t wait to participate in your link party. I’m saving images now for the next go-round. What a fun party!
