Christmas mantel with burlap stockings

By Debbiedoo's Team Published: Dec 18, 2013 · Modified: Dec 18, 2016

Welcome!

Today I am sharing our Christmas mantel with my new burlap Christmas stockings.

A Merry Mantel

The other day, when I shared our Charlie Brown Christmas tree, I was pleasantly surprised at how much you all liked it.  Thank you so much!

Actually, these stocking  are not burlap, I would say they are more linen.  Although, they are advertised as burlap through oriental trading company.

I have to say I do love them. At only $10.00 each I could not go wrong.  I wanted a simple look this year in the family room.

I had to of course stencil the stockings with something, because they were just too plain otherwise.

Rustic Christmas mantel with a touch of whimsy

Oops, can you tell I just wiped down my coffee table.  I love that I distressed this table long ago, much needed with two boys in the house.

I have been adding and tweaking now for a week.  I think I finally have the mantel just the way I want it this year.

Simple red beads and candy cane ornaments found at the dollar tree.

Old books, pinecones from the yard add to the theme of rustic.

Charlie brown Christmas tree

I am loving the Charlie Brown Christmas tree.  It is the perfect fit in the family room.

These little nutcrackers I found unfinished on an Etsy.

I gave them a quick coat of white chalky paint and they sure are cute.

Merry Christmas and Happy New year!

Thanks for stopping by to see our Christmas Mantel and Family room this year.

I feel so behind, and just when I thought I was ahead of the game this year.

Your Merry Mantel looks great. Who knew good old burlap was going to be so popular. When folks around here used tp pick Cotten, they used huge burlap sheets to put it in. Merry Christmas Debbie.

Glad that you got your mantel done….the stockings turned out great! I finished the last of my projects and decorating, but, am still trying to get all of my posts finished before next week. Not sure that I will make it, though!
Enjoy your Christmas with your family!
    Hugs,

Your mantel looks magical! It oozes coziness. The stockings look so perfect – they were hung by the chimney with care, for sure! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family, Debbie!

I love your mantel with the matching stockings. I agree, they needed some stencil love! I haven’t visited you for awhile, so glad to be back and see what you have been up to. Hope you will stop by the country, as we have moved from the last time I was in your neighborhood and we have been busy making a house our home 🙂 Happy New Year!
