It’s nice to come up with a project that cost you nadda! I still have pallets laying around here from last years outdoor pizza oven project. I have been wanting to make a pallet sign for our kitchen.
I have a new color, I am really loving!
Now do not be jealous of my outdoor, bug infested work area!
I have to admit, it is strange to be tucked in the woods like this.
What would a pallet without a stencil be?
Why just a plain ole pallet!
I am assuming you know what this says?
Bet you did not know you could speak Spanish.
We like the Spanish/French flair in decor. This sounded good to me. Mr. liked it too. He hung it up that evening for me:)
Just a glimpse for now. I will take better pics on a brighter day to share how it all came together.
I just added the live greenery today, I cut it from my outdoor vine.
Thanks for stopping over today!
What a cute project, Debbie. It is so simple to do but adds a whole lot of character. I love it. I finally figured out how to comment here. I was “visiting” directly through my email but with no way to comment at the end. I have to double click your link and LEAVE my email (even though it shows your complete post and pictures there) and actually enter your blog (if that makes any sense at all). Then, and only then, can I comment. I am telling you this because there might be others that don’t know this (or maybe I am the only idiot out here!;>) xo Diana
This turned out great! What a nice accent to your window. You are the queen of the pallet, my friend!

I love this type of thing, Debbie! I think they look great hanging over windows or doorways to add some interest. I love the color you did; it works really great with your valance.
Pam @ diy Design Fanatic
Love it Debbie! The color is perfect for your breakfast room!
Debbie, it is sooo pretty! Being born and raised in Spain, this project stole my heart!
I have to tell you it is something you would find in the towns right on the Mediterranean in the south of Spain.
Thank you MariaElena, that is so sweet to hear!
It sounds great! and funny!. I really love English language. But, in this case, Home Sweet Home translates into Spanish as Hogar Dulce Hogar.
Your composition Casa Dulce Casa = House Sweet House
LOL..that is funny. Well, it still sounds good to me!
Yes, it sounds good to me as well because we all understand perfectly!
Linda @ A La Carte
Love your new sign! Great project!
Debbie, I love this it looks so pretty what a great idea and way to re-purpose.
Home Sweet Home. But at first I was thinking Dulce was milk, but that couldn’t be right, then caramel, that’s when it hit me. At first glance I thought I saw, Casa Dulce Mama, so Home Milk Mama? Better get computer glasses.
love the sign the color is great looks perfect over the window .So what does it say 🙂
You and me both! Waiting for the sun… =)
Hey, you’re Tri-Lingual. I knew you was smart!!

On second thought, I just realized that I kind of like where it directs your readers (to our shared Rubber Door Mat Post) so maybe I should not have said anything :/
Such a fun and creative project, Debbie! And, what a sweet Mr. for mounting up there for you for all to enjoy … love it!
Ok, totally willing to trade pies for one of these C:
What a simple project.Looks perfect there!
I thought you were the burlap queen, but now that I think on it you have several titles. Spray paint queen, and stencil queen also fit. Great idea, girl:)
The sign looks great above the adorable valance! Perfect color choice!!
The Polka Dot Closet
Love it Debbie, had to read your comments to see what it said, I thought it was Home two Home, but I think 2 is dose (Don’t know how to spell it!!) Anyways…Have a great Easter!
Jane @ Cottage at the Crossroads
Your home is truly “Home Sweet Home” because you make it that way! Love the new paint color and your painting workshop!

It’s a beautiful work of art. It simple, fun and easy! Who knew that a pallet could look so good!!!
You know I LOVE the color! My “red” addiction is alive and present ~ 🙂 I really love the sign and it looks perfect over the window. Now, I’ll send you cupcakes, a cake or whatever in trade. LOL
Hope you and your loved ones have a blessed Easter my friend!
Debbie that is so cute and that color looks perfect in your kitchen! Oh, the signs you can create now. I love it!
Not sure if you saw I sent a reply message to you the other day about your blog is not updating on my friend list or on my linky follower list. Is there anything I need to do or do I just need to come directly to your site to check for new posts. I think I added it to reader but not sure why it’s still not updating. Any ideas what I can do to fix this? Hope so! Thanks!
Not sure Mary…I know some have told me they had to DELETE my old one…in other words you have to unfriend me from your google reader and then add my new url. Thanks mary!
Your sign is absolutely charming! Looks perfect in your home. Love the nice touch with the living greenery. Can wait to try this myself! We have a few old pallets laying around here (we use them to stack hay on). Now I just need to figure out what I want them to say. 🙂
That turned out great Debbie. There are a few pallets I think behind the recycle bins up at the school. I think me and the boys may head over there tomorrow and range them into the car!;)
Love the new sign! I really need to run over to Lowe’s and grab a pallet or two. Thanks for sharing.
Another great re-purposing idea. I love “foreign” words in decor. I have a few French sayings displayed in my home!
Looks good Deb.. I’m having a load of pavers delivered so maybe I’ll finally have a pallet to play with:)
So cute, Debbie! And I adore your sweet valance underneath it, too! 🙂
Cute sign…and what a great color that is – but – what really caught my eye is that cute clock in your kitchen!!
Joyce @ Quilted Nest
I know your post is about the sign (and it’s very cute) – but I’m loving that clock. Can’t wait to see more.
It looks great Debbie, I love the new color! Have a great week!
Hi Debbie, Your new pallet sign looks great above the window. Good idea!
Kelly @ Eclectically Vintage
What a fun Way to use a pallet! Gotta love a bi-lingual idea!
Thanks Kelly, hope you are having a great time.
I just love that pallet art. I need something in a few places on my wall above windows and entries. That’s something to think about.
Casa Dulce Casa is -> House Sweet House…mas o certo é Hogar Dulce Hogar ->Home Sweet Home
e en Português Lar Doce Lar -> Home Sweet Home.
I dont know well english, but here have in spanish and portuguese, ok?
Beautiful Blog, and you have a soo good ideas. Sincerely I love so much blogs from North America and Europe.
Bye and so much success in your blog.
Thank you Estelita…I figured that Casa was house after I did it. That is OK though, the saying still goes and I like it in a way better than the normal HOme sweet home. Thank you for your sweet visit.
LOVE your valance !!!!!
