Hi, I’m Denise Sabia and I am thrilled to be showing off my home tour here at Debbie’s!
I write a blog called The Painted Home.
I am a DIYer, a trash picker and a lover of all things flea market!
I have 3 small kids and a house full of animals, including chickens (but they’re in the backyard,
not the house). So, I like to keep things simple, easy, and inexpensive.
I make do with what I have, and I try to make what I have as clever as possible.
Enjoy the tour!
We’ll start with the foyer…I’ll try to talk as little as possible so you can just enjoy the eye candy.
But, let me know if you have any questions, I’m happy to divulge and decorating secrets I might have.
The walls in the foyer are covered in chocolate burlap fabric.
Thank you so much for visiting with me today.
I share all things, thrifty home decor, crafts, and a recipe or two on occasion.
Sign up today and receive a few freebies. 12 months of seasonal printable art.

Debbie ~ I hope my first post doesn’t show up. Computer went a bit wonky and then rec’d response your blog had moved. Weird!
So fun!! There were so many things to look at, I will have to go back and look again! You had me at “trash picker”. I am going to be looking at my Dumpster Dives with a more fine tuned eye now! What a neat home, thanks for sharing.
So many great ideas and so much personality in one house!!! Thanks for sharing all those photos with us.
Oh Debbie – I am so ashamed that I missed commenting on your BD. Happy belated birthday!! I hope you had a wonderful birthday, and remember, as I tell myself – not older only better – oh well I’m ancient.
I loved your post on the trunk and had tears while reading. I cannot imagine being 16 and having a baby. Your mother is truly a treasure and so are you!
Enjoyed this house tour so much and even spied one of my favorites in the toile fabric curtains. Such creativity and imagination in this wonderful home. Thanks so much for sharing a true inspiration.

Your home is beautiful, so cozy with a ‘I want to live there’ kind of feel. I absolutely love your burlap wall!!!
Debbie 🙂
I like the old up against the new in particular the coffee pot against the scales and the salt holder.
