Loving my Country French Kitchen

By Debbiedoo's Team Published: Aug 3, 2010 · Modified: Feb 1, 2015

I just adore COuntry French kitchens.  Although I have gone back and forth with my roosters, first they are here then they are gone…they always seem to come back, and then I buy more in the meantime.  I mentioned my FIL was just here for a nice visit. We had such a great time, and we love that he is part of our family after so many years of not being in our lives. He is an awesome GUY! And hey he said I am his favorite daughter in law ( Mike is an only child) So I for sure love him.  Well, he built me a nice shelf out of love and labor.  He used 100 year old gussits that where in a church…he even managed to match our stain from our kitchen cabinets, which I did not tell him what color they where.  Remember the pottery he gave us? Well I now the found the perfect home for it. MY BEFORE PICS……

Well you all remember the Bon Appetit right?  I have been wanting to get rid of this for so long…but first I was afraid it would ruin the wall when we took it off….NOPE it did not, blow dryer and very soft peeling removed it with no problems….I am so happy to see it go!

Here is another shot of it…..OK now onto my fun changes…

The gorgeous shelf and pottery….

Loving my New rooster picture purchased from the WOW store!

I love our candy jar we found a while back here at an antique store.

I really love the new look.  I can’t wait for Fall when I can put out all my pretty orange pumpkins and do some Fall festive decorating. Hope you enjoyed my Before and After…my link will be up tomorrow morning to get the party started early.

Debbie you know I love your kitchen and dining room. Have commented many times before. This is a wonderful change. I love the shelf so much…pssst I love it so much I would see if since your his favorite DIL he can make you another for the other side and then go higher with the plates. You could make that such a highlight area during different holidays. That is a great dining room space. Oh..I would love that. I love your rooster print and the lamp (of course you know that). Maybe when Im in SC I can check out a WOW store, I know I searched out a Kirklands in Myrtle Beach. lol Great job…tell FIL job well done.
