Patriotic table top ideas

By 15 Comments

Hi there everyone!

We have a big weekend coming up and I am sure most of us will be heading to BBQ’s and outdoor parties.

Perhaps even having  a party of your own.

Memorial day brings the beginning of the summer season, and the end to the school year.

Most importantly is  also a time for honoring.

A day on which those who died in active military service are remembered, traditionally observed on May 30 but now officially observed on the last Monday in May.

Today, I am sharing  5 patriotic table top ideas.

5 simple patriotic table top ideas

First one of my own and then a few others I found inspiring.

Virtually cost me nothing to do.

I found a roll of patriotic burlap at Walmart.  They sell all kinds now of  burlap and craft supplies.

If you love recycled can and recycled bottle ideas, I have a plenty.

I am not sharing a tutorial on how I made these.

I will simply tell you and/or you can refer back to my recycled can ideas for tutorials.

I have done plenty.

Basically start with any empty jar you have.

Spaghetti jar,

mason jar,

whatevs will do.

I even have a tuna can this time.

I used Americana deco art chalky paint for my project.

Paint your jar with any craft or chalky paint you may have.  I did two coats.

Wrap the burlap around and hot glue the back to keep in place.

Simple twine I had on hand I double wrapped with red and white.

I always adore Susan from Between naps on the porch table scape ideas.  She has a plenty so you may want to head on over and check out her gallery.

The mason jars embellished with ribbon are such a cute idea.  Simple too!

Thanks for stopping by and reading today.

I know there are so many sites and blogs to choose from these days so I feel very happy that you made a quick pit stop here.

Hope you follow me around and become a regular:)

So festive!! I tried to make a multi colored cake last year that was red white and blue but it turned into a flop! This looks a little more doable though 🙂

I love these! I have been so turned about that I actually didn’t even realize that this coming Monday is Memorial Day. What?
My mother and sister are in Colorado, and I guess I hadn’t even thought about it.

I guess if I’m going to do anything festive around here, I will have to do it myself.

(And I love the different ways you use/reuse your jars. They never fail to be eye pleasing to me.)

Debbie what great ideas here but I love yours the best. Love that burlap you found. I never thought of going to Walmart for craft items, a little slow here.

I hope you had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend! Our long weekend is the week before yours, but we celebrate Queen Victoria’s birthday. It’s the long weekend that starts the ‘summer’, usually people plant their garden or go camping…in which case they call it the May 2-4 weekend (a case of beer is 24 bottles, called a 2-4…) Anyway (sorry to get off track), your ideas for table decor are so cute! And so easy to recreate…thanks for the inspiration. Debbie 🙂
