Patio and porch decorating and diy ideas!

By Debbiedoo's Team Published: Apr 17, 2016 · Modified: Apr 25, 2016

As I mentioned in my last post, I have been busy Spring cleaning the outdoors.  I love to spruce up the patio and porch come this time of year.

Patio and porch

We actually enjoy sitting out there and entertaining from this season until way into the fall season.  Today, I thought I would share some of our past patio and porch decorating ideas, crafty diy projects and more!  I added in a few more for good measure that I thought were pretty neat.

Now onto a few more sprucing up your patio, porch and diy ideas down below.  I thought the pollen was gone. But sadly, I was mistaken and today I was in pretty rough shape.  My eyes were tearing up so bad they were dripping down my face.  I came inside, took an allergy med and had to rest my eyes for a bit.  I never had allergies until I moved to the Carolina’s.  Apparently, this is the worst place to live for allergy sufferers.  I guess I have to live with it, because I love it here in spite of it.  Our older son gets them bad here too.  At least, it is a short season.

Just in case you missed my post with 20+ DIY porch signs, you can check that out as well

So glad you stopped by today.  I hope to see you again soon.

What an inviting outdoor space, Debbie! Your color choices are perfect. You may have black thumbs for gardening, but your decorating hands are pure gold!
Hate those spring allergies, too, and hope they’re over soon. It is freakishly warm here this morning. Over 70F already and just 10am. This is NOT the weather I grew up and lived my whole life in the Seattle area. Too warm!!! April has always been cool and rainy…..
    Have an excellent week!
    Hugs!

It was a scorcher here today. Way too early to be this hot. Pollen is still flying though sadly! Stay cool Kris.

Love your porch ideas! We have a very plain screened in patio that I’ve been dying to update. Your ideas are perfect! Thank you.

Love looking at your outdoor pictures of the porch, patio and deck. Everything looks great! Your brick home is so beautiful! I’m jealous over the pizza oven! That is so cool! The pollen in Florida has finally let up. In the 11 years I’ve lived here, it never was like this. I had to get shots this year!! Yikes!

I heard that Nancie and was surprised. We lived in South Florida for 9 years and never had a pollen issue. I guess it’s making it’s way.

Great ideas. Where I live in the Midwest we don’t really have porches. I like these ideas for our deck.

I just love your outdoor areas. The rocking chairs new color of that beautiful yellow are so ready for someone to sit for awhile.
I am just a shade of green ( I picked a beautiful shade to be of course) with envy when I see the beautiful country where some are so fortunate to live, This summer when you are sitting on one of your gorgeous outdoor areas and sipping on some sweet tea (brewed of course none of that instsnt stuff) snacking perhaps on some fresh baked thin crispy butter cookies ( oh pardon me I sort of lost where I was going with this ) and ya’ll think it’s HOT just think of me here in Texas where it’s probably 110 degrees in the shade and that thought should cool you. If I took me a glass of ice tea outside the ice would be melted before you could drink it and you would probably spill it anyway swatting at mosquitos!!! Well I seem to have lost where I was going again.
Hope this gave you a giggle but just remember it’s at my expense!!!
Loved seeing all the beautiful pictures and always enjoy your post.

Yes Treva, you did give me a good chuckle. Although, I hate that it will get that steaming hot there. It gets warm here too, but not that warm. We do have the lake to jump in and that helps a bit for sure. Thanks for the smiles.
