Halloween Monogrammed pumpkin

By Debbiedoo's Team Published: Oct 5, 2014 · Modified: Feb 4, 2025

HOLA!

Thanks for stopping over today.

Monogram pumpkin

Today, I am sharing a Halloween Monogrammed pumpkin.

Boo tag for pumpkin

Such an easy pumpkin to personalize and took me know time at all.

A trip to Michael’s was all it took and about 30 minutes time

I had my own personalized pumpkin.

Michael’s is hosting a Trick your Pumpkin sweepstakes and you really need to join the fun with us.

For a chance to win a $250.00 gift card to Michaels plus some Plaid products.

How fun for the upcoming holidays ahead.

The sweeps will run from October 4th through October 31st, so you have plenty of time to Trick your pumpkin out and get it entered.

 let’s start with the basics

Supplies:
Faux pumpkin

blinged Monogram

Ribbon

faux Halloween flowers.

All of these items were found in the Halloween section, minus the blinged Monogram.

That was in the back of the store set in separte display where they had scrap book and paper supplies.

Everything I purchased was on sale up to 60% off.  I want to say for all the above supplies it was less than $20.00.

Carving a pumpkin with a hot knife

First I carved out the top of my faux pumpkin with a hot knife.

Last year was the first time I ever used one, and I have to tell you, they are awesome!

{How to carve a pumpkin with a hot knife tool}

So easy to use and you can create so many cool carved pumpkins.

you can check out my rooster faux carved pumpkin from last year.

Once that was carved

I put my Monogram on

Monogrammed pumpkin

The monogram was easy to remove and very sticky on the back so when I placed it on the pumpkin there was no lifting.

I smoothed it out with my finger and was good to go onto the next simple step.

embellishing a pumpkin

I cut my ribbon to size and used a pin to keep it in place while my hot glue gun was warming up.

I only dabbed the top and the bottom of the ribbon.

I added a chalkboard tag and added BOO!

Oh, and as you can see I decorated the lid of the pumpkin with ribbon and another Boo embellishment.

That’s it!

Sure would love to see you back again.

That’s really pretty, Debbie! I love it. It sounds like that hot knife makes cutting into those faux pumpkins quite easy. Love all the embellishments you added in here.

The monogram is so cute! Until I read on, I thought you had done it with tacks! I love the idea of the hot knife, too!

Thanks! I know that was the easiest way to monogram anything and they really do look like tacks.

I love this! (Both the festive monogrammed pumpkin and the sweepstakes.) I think tripping out a pumpkin is just the kind of crazy craft that the doctor ordered for me this week. So fun.
