Owls and sunflower side table vignette

By Debbiedoo's Team Published: Sep 25, 2014 · Modified: Feb 4, 2025

Hi there everyone!

Today, could not have been any more perfect for Fall decorating and nesting around the house.

In my Pj’s of course I was in just about all day.  Cooking crock pot lasagna,

burning a pumpkin spice candle

and decorating.  I’m actually starting a tad bit on Halloween too now.

Gosh, time flies this time of year.

Owls and sunflowers fall vignettes

Today I am sharing an owls & sunflowers side table vignette I put together.

Fall entry table

I love owls. And I love sunflowers. If you missed my Sunflower mantel you will see how the two tie together here.

This is a little side table next to our massive entertainment center.

Not the easiest wall to achieve warmth and decorate.

I think I do ok overall considering I work with what I have.

Owls

This little blue owl was not always blue.

I bought him at Walmart at least four years ago.

He had an Annie Sloan chalk paint makeover.  Of course, I even gave him/her eyelashes.

The little family plaque you see peeking through I made a few years back.

diy family plaque painted with rit dye.

Fall vignettes with owls

Nothing fancy!

The sunflower wreath came from Rite Aid, the drug store!

As you can see I dressed up the candle sticks with some burlap flowers I had in my craft bin.  I also tied some twine around my candles for a little rustic element.

Vintage peanut can

Speaking of rustic…

my husband came home with this old planters peanut can a few weeks ago.

No it was not a dumpster dive,he actually paid $20.00 bucks for this beat up can.  He loved it so what I can I say?  I probably wouldn’t have given it a second look.

Although, I do love the blue in it and it ties in well with the rest of our old vintage decor.

And that’s as simple as it gets.

Some home made, made over, rustic and new Fall vignette.

Thanks for stopping over today.

Here’s a peek at some Halloween fun I have going on here.

Halloween is one of my favorites.

you can check out my Halloween archives of some table scapes and decorating I have done in the past.

I am keeping it much more simple this year.

the boys are older and really can care less about this festive spooky time.

 Thanks for stopping over today.

If you are not a regular, I sure would love to see you back again.

XO

What fun and pretty decor! Love the colors!!! Hey, wanted to tell you that sometimes I have a lot of trouble with getting around here at your blog. It happens with all blogs that have a lot of sponsors, and such. My computer is old, and just can’t take all the stimulation! i usually come and catch up with several posts at a time. Your handsome boys sure have grown!!

I love it, Debbie! I recently bought my first little jar of Annie Sloan paint, and you’ve given me a great idea for a makeover. Love the family sign too! 🙂

Yeah, that’s what seems to happen when the kids get older, Debbie! Now the little bit I put out for Hallween is for my granddaughter’s enjoyment. Your vignette looks so pretty. I think I mentioned CVS has some cute Fall stuff. Lots of owls, too!

I am a teacher and I had a few owl items in my classroom. The kids figured out that I love owls, and everything went crazy from there. Now, I have owl items everywhere – but I still love them. Maybe even more now since most of my owls were sweet gifts from my precious students. Sunflowers? They have ALWAYS been my favorite flower. They are just “happy”.
