How to make a burlap Valentine’s banner

By Debbiedoo's Team Published: Jan 18, 2014 · Modified: Jan 7, 2017

Simple, Simple fun here!

How are you?

I am in full Valentine’s decorating mode.

So happy…I decided to keep my Charlie Brown Christmas tree up and decorate it for Valentine’s day.

I just may keep it up until Easter, who’s to say!

Today, I am sharing how to make a burlap Valentine’s banner.

So cute and I sure scored the burlap roll for a good price.

$10.00 at Pottery Barn and it was red.

I am Sure it was intended for Christmas, but heck it works for Valentine’s day too.

Not much to show you on the how to.

Here is the roll I found at Pottery Barn.

Walmart now sells these Burlap rolls in their floral department. However, it is the natural burlap, not the colored. But you can still use it for valentines day as well. Stencil it with Red craft paint:) In fact, that is the natural you also get a peek of on my tree.

My stencil letters, in which you can buy these at any craft store, Michael’s, Hobby lobby, even Walmart.

Craft paint and tiny little paint brush.

LOVE!

That’s it, wrap around the tree and you have your very own Valentine’s burlap banner for a tree or whatever you wish.

Very pretty, Debbie! Does it take long for the paint to dry?

I love your Valentine Tree! I must admit, I left my champagne colored “skinny” tree up in my bedroom! I just love the twinkleness! I was thinking about putting burlap hearts all over it for Valentines! You’re singing to my heart!! LOL!! ~~ANG

That tree is so sweet. Fabulous idea on stenciling the burlap roll. Just think of what you can do for St. Pat’s day and Easter!
I had a friend who kept hers (large) up and redecorated for every holiday thru Memorial Day. That’s when her hubby said “Enough”.
    Have a blessed weekend, Ginger

Looks really cute Debbie. I am always so anxious to take my tree down and clean up and never thought to decorate it for Valentine. A really small one would work. Will have to look at WM for the burlap ribbon.
    Thanks …
