Hey there everyone!
It’ that time of year where I will be hitting up the Dollar tree more so for their seasonal cheapo decor. Today I am sharing a Dollar tree Pumpkin Topiary.

I love the Dollar tree for all my seasonal decor craft ideas.

In fact, so much so, that this year once again,

How to make a dollar tree pumpkin topiary and paint your pumpkins with rit dye

It is Primp your pumpkin time.

September 15th come and link up your pumpkins and get inspired by the many you will see.

So the other day when I stopped in Dollar tree and I spied these cute foam pumpkins, I knew exactly what I had in mind.

How to make a dollar tree pumpkin topiary

I have done all kinds of pumpkin projects already this season.

my pumpkin vase with gesso and rit dye

my faux carved pumpkins

and my Gesso and rit dye faux pumpkin

and now these.

I am not going to get into the thick of the tutorial with you on these, because by now,

you have seen me paint with gesso and combine rit dye.

You can click on any of the gesso projects above and I give the full deets on that.

Basically paint your pumpkin, or glass surface with gesso first and let partially dry.

When I say partially that is for about 30 minutes or so.

These are the three colors I used

Evening blue

Apple green

and scarlet rose.

In fact scarlet rose was the same color I recently used for my

upcycled pallet shelf painted with rit dye

For each pumpkin,

I used a slightly different finishing coat.

For the green one, I simply sprinkled green glitter.

The evening blue one, I used Martha Stewart metallic

and for the Scarlet red, I used the gold leafing paint.

I have told you this technique or combination I should say, takes on a life of it’s own.

It is always different, and I love that!

And there you have a dollar tree pumpkin topiary.

I had the galvanized pot and I used faux leaves, twigs and berries to slightly embellish.

Moss too as you can see in between.

One more thing I forgot to mention is that I used a shish kabob skewer to stack them.

It poked right through the Styrofoam without a problem.

Thank you so much for visiting with me today.

These days you can find me over at Home Pressure Cooking. Making some amazing meals in the Instant Pot, Air Fryer, and new Ninja Foodi.

Thank you for your visit today!

I share all things, thrifty home decor, crafts and a recipe or two on occasion.

    These are simply stunning, Debbie.

You made those dollar store pumpkins look like a million bucks. I love how they sparkle! I need to get busy with my fall/Halloween decor, but it’s hard to do when it’s 90+ degrees and humid as all get out. I know you can relate; climates in NC and SC aren’t that different.
