A tisket a tasket how about a garden basket

By Debbiedoo's Team Published: Jul 7, 2015 · Modified: Jul 19, 2015

A tisket a tasket how about a garden basket!  I’m on a dollar tree roll again.  For the trifling amount of money I spend in there per season to decorate, I love it!

How to make garden basket plant hangers

I just shared with you our Summer porch decor and my whimsical wreath I made with dollar tree goods.

That day I also picked up some baskets.  I just loved the lime green color and thought they would be good for even some pantry organizing, snacks, etc.  I went a totally different direction though.

I figured since I was ditching classy for sassy this summer, these baskets would make some cute hanging baskets.

I lined the basket with the bandanna, and placed a better homes and gardens flower container inside.  I really don’t mind if the bottom of the bandanna gets a little wet.

I tied the jump rope in a double knot around the handle of the basket and then tied a knot on top of the jump rope to loop around the existing hook, that my lanterns were on.

Adds to the colorful whimsy I have going on this summer.

Those would make adorable centerpieces, too. I’m always looking for easy, cheap centerpiece ideas to use for the faculty/staff breafast and lunch we have 3 times a year at the small college where I work.

This is so cute and handy. This reminds me of a lant biology class a took a couple of years ago. My instructor taught is that most plants can grow in anything as long as it has good drainage and support. Our class was filled with improvised flower pots made from plastic cups and bottles, egg and milk cartons ?
