The Men tell all

By Debbiedoo's Team Published: Feb 23, 2015 · Modified: Feb 4, 2025

Hi there everyone!

Today, is a bit different over here.  I am not sharing anything crafty, home decor or recipe related.  Today, Mike is actually on trial.

I mean interview.

Meet Mike:)

Mike is not much of a photo guy, no the less finding a smiling one.  This is the best I could find.  Photo taken in Ireland on our last day. We were both a bit wee tired!

Debbie and Mike

Mike had a few surprising things to say. Some things, I didn’t even know.  Mike is a man of few words.  So pardon his short and to the point answers.  That’s just the way he is.  Certainly not a rambler like myself.  Mike puts up with a lot around here and I give him credit.  He is a patient, kind and humble man.

Love you Mike and thanks for participating.

Today I am also participating with some other fun bloggers for this series of the Men tell all.  I feel like we are on an episode of the bachelor or something.  Only difference is, these men have been stuck with us crazy bloggers for a long time.  No offense ladies, but you know it’s true.

You can check out their husbands tell all posts when you are done over here.

I have all their links at the end of this post.

I married a creative

Sure hope this doesn’t cause any trouble in some households.

You never know.

1.  What is your favorite project  Debbie has done, and why?  Rit and Mod podge creations.  It was a clever idea.  (See project here)

2.  What is your least favorite, and why?  Pool noodle wreath. Why? I can’t even explain.  (See project here)

3.  What is the one creative item or tool that Debbie cannot live without? Spray Paint.  (See project gallery here)

4.  What is your biggest pet peeve about Debbie in the real world or the project and decorating realm?  Pictures, chronicle events.

5.  If you could take Debbie on a vacation anywhere, where would she want to go?  Paris

6.  Debbie finds $100.  What does she do with it?  Tries to find who it belongs to.

7.  What is YOUR favorite room in your house and why?  The Pub room.  It has a bit of everyone.

8.  Creativity is messy, but for the most part blogs show the pretty picture.  Can you tell us how Debbie is a secret slob?  Debbie is a Spray paint slob. I have had to clean up her messes a time or two.  You can read about that HERE
 9.  Name a project or decorating adventure that you thought would be a flop but was fabulous?  Stenciled pillows.

10.  Blogging takes a lot of time.  Do you ever pass by Debbie while she is on the computer and secretly feel neglected?  No, Debbie can multi task

11.  Before, during, and after photos are an important part of blogging, do you remember to do that while working on projects for Debbie?  Alas, NO, and I have heard about it.

12.  How often do you read Debbie’s blog and do you have a favorite post? Twice weekly.  Ireland posts were a favorite.

13.  Before changing a piece of furniture, hanging new curtains, or planning a whole room redo, does Debbie consult you or do you come home and it’s done? Depends on the scale of the project.

14.  Does Debbie discuss her blog with you,  stories from other blogs or friendships with other bloggers? Yes, all the time. You mean, Ann, Shannon, Bliss? Just to name a few.

15. Where do you think Debbie gets most of her creative inspiration; tv, magazines, online, you, or was she just born that way?  I have to give Debbie full credit. She is not much of an imitator.

16.  Do you know what Pantone’s color of the year is and how do you feel about so called “girly” colors for your walls? Their our walls. I doubt Deb would promote “girly” colors with 3 boys in the house.  Pantone color, NO clue.

17.  If you could change one room or area of your home with no decorating advice from Debbie, what area would you choose and why? I have no desire for change in our home without talking to Deb about it.

18.  Are you ever worried Debbie will share too much personal information or that blogging might invade your private life?  I trust Debbie’s judgement

19. Have you ever helped Debbie style photos for her blog or offer input on how you think a vignette should look?  Yes

20.  There is a saying “If walls could talk…”, what would yours say about the decorating in your bedroom?  A Gentleman never tells!

( I think Mike missed the point of the last question) He read walls, bedroom, talk and he clammed up!

The men tell all

Well I just had to come over and read your blog. Mike is the best son-in-law any mother could ever ask for. He is a man of few words. But he always is truthful and honest and get his point across. Sometimes he does use big words that nobody understands but we just get a chuckle out of him❤️

Okay, I must know from the man of few words what vignettes he’s helped style! And he knows much more about craft stuff than my husband. If I said Mod Podge he would probably ask where that is? LOL!

    🙂 Linda
