How to make a no sew drop cloth Valentine pillow

By Debbiedoo's Team Published: Jan 14, 2014 · Modified: Feb 4, 2025

Hi there everyone!

You know I love me some no sew everything. If you have a hot glue gun, you can make this.

Today, I am sharing how to make a no sew drop cloth Valentine pillow.

If you missed my drop cloth rooster pillow over the summer that I made you can check that one out after this.

Supplies:

Drop cloth

glue gun

stencil

{I purchased mine at Hobby Lobby}

dollar tree fabric hearts

craft paint of choice

diy no sew drop cloth pillow

As you can see, if you did not know any better you would think it was sewn.

fabric hearts from the dollar tree

These cute fabric hearts come in a pack for a dollar and they have a sticky on the back.

Perfect for embellishing just about anything you want.

valentine pillow no sew pillow

It’s a pretty Valentine no sew drop cloth pillow.

So the deets

I already have a pillow insert.

I cut two pieces of drop cloth to size Slight larger than the pillow. You want room to stuff it.

Ironed it

Took my stencil and paint, stenciled the LOVE on it

hot glued all but one end

turned it inside out

Stuffed my insert pillow in

and glued up the end.

thanks so much for stopping over today.

Follow me around if you like.

I love no-sew projects Debbie! I just used some hem tape to make one a couple of days ago…. a pillow that is, not a valentine pillow.

Wow, I can’t believe it…it does look like it’s been sewn! Great job. I don’t sew….I do enjoy needle crafts, but I always have to pay someone (or barter) to have projects finished. I really needed this tutorial!

    Adorable pillow, Debbie!

I’ve seen you do no sew pillows with hot glue before, how long does it hold up? I have always sewn mine, but if this can last, it might be an option in the future. Your heart pillow is so pretty, I love the ‘Love’ stencilled on it!
