Don’t you just LOVE summer?
I know I do!
When everything is so green and colorful. This summer I went a little crazy with the color fun on the front porch.
You remember the garden table that was in our entry way?
I mentioned a time or two or three, it needed to be outdoors.
It got a new fresh coat of Bahaus gold spray paint, by Krylon.
Honestly, I did not do a great job on this.
I did not want it to be perfect.
Hopefully over time it will start getting rusty and chippy, as that is what I would like for it to do.
I had to paint some terra cotta pots with Annie Sloans Antibes green.
I made a vintage paper flower, and tied some twine on the other pots just for a little something something.
It ties in with my pool noodle wreath which you will be seeing shortly.
Lots of fun funky color out here!
We have another project in the making this Summer which I am so excited about.
It has to do with the front porch and Southern tradition.
My picnic basket garden planter is holding up well.
I have not killed the ferns yet.
This mod podged pot I did around two years ago.
Been holding up good as well.
A little faded but not too bad.
And there you have my colorful Summer porch!
Mike and I actually enjoy sitting out here and rockin on the chairs and just chit chatting.
I have fond memories of when we first moved in and our boys would be running across the lawn catching fireflies.
They had never seen them before moving to the Carolina’s. It was so fun to watch and bring back memories of my own, and catching fireflies. Of course, I used to try to make a pretty ring out of those poor little flies.
Have a great day!
mmmm this looks so wonderful! Such a warm and inviting front porch! You did a beautiful job, Debbie…..makes you linger here enjoying your front porch. Love those colorful pots, especially the mod-podged one and the garden table looks just perfect…love that! I love the idea of the wrought iron table in your outdoor space:) Very inviting space……beautiful post! Have a wonderful summer! hugs~Poppy
I really like the terra cotta pots painted in ASCP Antibes green. Brings back memories of sitting on my grandmother’s porch in the summer and chasing fireflies til dark.
Your porch always look so inviting, love how you bring colour outdoor
Very inviting Deb!! Let’s rock a spell and have a glass of wine!!!
I love the entire look — but I’ve got to admit, I’m kind of “crushin” on that modge-podged pot. I see you’ve linked it. I’m headed to check it out! Have a great day! ~Sally

Thanks Melissa! I will be over soon and add your link as well. Thanks for stopping by.
Oh, I love it. It’s so festive and colorful! I’m currently working on my noodle wreath. I sure hope it isn’t too stupid a mess to hang on the front door or show abroad in Blog Land. I’m so glad for the inspiration.

Hi Debbie: Your front porch looks so pretty. There is nothing like sitting and rocking on the front porch! I love the hat on the rooster..Happy Tuesday..Judy
I love the porch and the color of the table … but best of all, I like “spiffy looking” Mr. Roo or is it Mrs. Roo?
Your porch is pretty & inviting! What a nice way to be greeted when entering your home. I’d love to sit & rock the day away there.

That table works great there, Debbie! It’s like it was meant to be! Love the color and I can see from the peek that it works well with your new wreath.

Oh the fireflies…aren’t they just great…you know it’s summer in the South, when they “come out and play”….
Love the yellow table color Debbie. I know it is shocking but I have been spray painting a few items around here.

What a warm and welcoming porch. I love, love, love that fan. I’ve been wanting to do the same thing. Can’t wait to see your upcoming big porch project….you have my curiousity piqued…I’m thinking swing.
I don’t care if it’s my porch or yours, I think it would be so fun to sit and visit. Maybe one day…
Sharon @ mrs. hines class
It looks great! Love all the color and layers of pretties to look at. So colorful and fun!! Looks super outside. Perfect for the porch.
Think I spied a little sumpin~sumpin on the door????
You forgot another “C” word… cozy!!!!!!! What a great place to sit and chit chat. Tom and I love to sit on the porch and talk. It is so comforting. We didn’t see a lot of lightning bugs in South Carolina, but at my parents’ house in Tennessee it is crazy. There are so many that the trees look like Christmas trees! I used to put them in a jar and watch them when I went to bed. That is so summer to me!
Raw Thoughts And Feelings
I do love the look and feel of your porch, Debbie! It is so inviting, spring looking, and pretty decoration!

Beautiful porch Debbie, and don’t you just love when you can reuse a piece. Your pots look ls cheery with the Antibes Green paint. I could stop by for a rock with you, and relax:)
Hello my friend! Long time, no comment! I do read your posts in my email though:) Your front porch looks so sunshine-y and lovely! I love front porches, it makes me think of the Andy Griffith show and how they’d sit out there rocking in the evenings…like you and hubby! You’ve done a wonderful job out there:)

It’s beautiful! Love the memories!
The porch looks awesome! Love the gold on the table! Such a bright happy color! Love the pool noodle wreath, too! Thanks for sharing.
I love all the little details on your colorful porch. Especially the Chicken with the sun hat, which did not get a mention! If you walk out your door and find a tall blonde in one of your Rocking Chairs reading a book, don’t be alarmed, that is just me. I couldn’t help myself, it looks so comfy and inviting there!

I *love* the picnic basket with the seed packet garland…..so fun!!
It looks wonderful Debbie! I wish I had a porch but my back deck will have to do! Your table looks great and with a few rains it will probably rust up for you as you want! The ferns in the picnic basket are cute! The wreath looks fun!
Jane @ Cottage at the Crossroads
Your table looks terrific on your porch. It gives you such a great space to place you pots and plants. By the way, those terracotta pots painted in Antibes Green are fabulous. I caught a view of your noodle wreath. I’m guessing that it has a monogram on it which is so Southern!
Love your porch! Yes I adore my porch too……
Your terracotta pots are so cute and perfect for your table that you just painted.
Linda @ Itsy Bits And Pieces
Your porch is charming and welcoming, Debbie…must be wonderful to look out on your lovely view…
Love your colorful porch! That is a great color on the flowerpots too.
I love all the color Debbie! Your porch is looking so alive. I definitely love the iron table outside now too. It really is perfect out there. I like the basket with ferns but really love how you have given us an update on how things are holding up. That’s the problem I face before putting anything out, I agonize over how it will weather outside. You have done another beautiful job and cannot wait to hear more about your project. HMmm????

Richella @ Imparting Grace
Debbie, you just exude hospitality. Honestly, it’s like it just comes out of your pores! I think it makes sense for your front porch to be colorful–you have a colorful, fun personality, and shouldn’t the first thing your guests see be a reflection of your spirit?
I love that cross wall hanging. And I love the fact that you have it right on your front porch. 🙂
Love all that you did on your front porch! Colors are great! I could just sit in that rocker all day long with a view like that!
