Rise N’ Shine another sharpie idea

By 27 Comments

So, you have probably figured out, I go in spurts of the same craft. Always with a different spin though.

If I start with one thing, have my supplies all out,

I look for my next victim.

I mean, why should I have to dig out the supplies next week all over again?

I think for a dollar a piece, this is  a great mug and bowl.

I love the colors.

(Plaid stencil)

After I did my rooster sharpie plate

I really fell in love with the ease of a sharpie on glassware.

I roughed  up this mug with the kitchen scrubby,

then baked it at 350 for for 30 minutes.

I used peel and stick letter stencils as well.

{Bird stencil from Hobby Lobby}

Did the same with the bowl…

however the bird was a regular stencil.

A little tricky to keep it in place while stenciling

even with the stencil tape.

Just a little awkward.

Cute, simple, $2.00 Dollar tree project!

If you are not a regular here, I sure would love to see you back again

OK, this stencil with the sharpie stuff is really jazzing me. I have yet to try it, but I really want to do this! I love that you can bake and make it usable. (I am either experiencing some deja vu, or that’s what I said the last time. Still applies.)

I have tried this & I can tell you ppl love it! I sell my creations to the public & they urge me to make sets. I love it & I also use color sharpies. I stencil on everything, even planters. Awesome!!

Not sure what I did wrong but I did mugs for easter. I drew and colored with sharpies baked them in a 350 degree oven for 25 – 30 min but after 1 -2 washings it all came off, Any sugestions?

Angie, I have not washed mine yet, so not sure how it will be. The plate I did is just decorative however, the mug and bowl I do plan on using. I washed it by hand and it was OK, I have not ran it in the dishwasher though.

If the sharpie method doesn’t work for you, try ceramic markers.
