Hi there everyone! While shopping at the Walmart the other day I was super excited to see they now carry fabric. Our Walmart since opening has not carried fabric and I was always bummed out about that. I used to buy fabric in Florida all the time at Walmart and I missed that option here.
Not sure if I told y’all but next Spring break we are going to France with the High School marching band. They were invited to play some solemn music in Normandy. It is such an honor and France has been on my bucket list all my life. A few years back our Marching band was invited to Ireland to March in the Dublin parade. Our marching band has so many amazing opportunities and I am delighted our younger son has chose to be a part of it. He was reluctant because he is more of our Sports kid. However, he can play a mean Trombone and he would actually be foolish not to tap into his talent and gift for playing. He took our advice and is going to give it a try for at least his Freshman year. His big bro was part of the band all through High School and absolutely loved it. They are different though, so we shall see.
Now onto my cute Paris cafe print no sew pillow project. When I saw this fabric I could not resist. Isn’t it darling?
Now y’all already know I don’t sew.
I have shared many NO-sew pillow projects here. I have no intentions of learning anytime soon to sew.
Why bother at this point when I can hot glue, use peel n stick, stitch witchery and all the other no-sew methods and have the project turn out just as cute.
This project cost be around $10.00. I even found the pillow insert at Walmart. The peel n stick is in the sewing section.
I bought one yard of fabric for $3.97. I cut it to size the pillow and left about an inch over. I then turned my fabric inside out, and stuffed my pillow insert in gently.
Instead of using the peel and stick on the bottom I used twine to close the pillow. I simply snipped tiny holes the bottom and looped it through on both side to tie a bow.
It gave the pillow some texture as well, plus I think it looks cute and fun!
The guest room is where it resides! I absolutely LOVE this fabric and pillow. Hope your Walmart carries it.
Looks perfectly sewn to me:)
Thanks for stopping over today.
If you are not a regular here, I sure would love to see you back. I share things ALL not so perfect, budget friendly, crafts and a recipe or two on occasion.
Check out my NO-sew gallery while you are here.

Cute pillow Debbie. It’s perfect for your guest room!
Thanks Pam:) I love this fabric so much.
Great fabric! One of my favorite things to buy!!
You picked a very good use for your fabric……looks pretty in the guest room
Super cute, Debbie! That fabric is adorable and I especially like the little pop of purple. How exciting for your son – our h.s. band usually goes to NY or FL, but how fabulous would it be to travel to France? Lucky you, going along!! Jane
It’s simply darling. I don’t sew either but will definitely get the same fabric for something. 🙂
Just bought this fabric in rd!! Your pillow is so cute!!! Not sure what I am doing with mine yet!
I enjoy reading your blog and have adapted many of your ideas, so thanks! But now, I hate to be a B, but about 30 years ago I married an officer in the Spelling Police. He has since been promoted to General in charge of Spelling AND Grammar and some of his fastidiousness has rubbed off on me. Since you seem to have a very widely read blog I kind of hoped you’d take it kindly, like someone telling you you have spinach in your teeth. OK It’s “I “used” to buy fabric” not “use” to and you gave your son ADVICE, not advise. smiley face emoticon ( I don’t know how to do that here)
Corrected, and thank you:)

That’s adorable, Debbie…love how it looks against the other pillows in the room, too!
Miss Debbie, I love love love this pillow idea and fabric. Thank you from another non-sew-er in the world. Geez I hope I spelled that correctly but I’m pretty sure I didn’t. Oh well you get my point:) I just wanted to say that is awesome about your son and I’m glad he took your advise;) I mean advice. Good for him! You have a wonderfully blessed day and thank you so much for this awesome idea;) God bless!
Oh I love that fabric and pillow too. Need to go to Walmart to see if they have it here. Your blogs looks fine, Debbie….Christine
Thanks Christine! Your grand kids are so adorable btw:)
Love the fabric. Can’t believe you found it at Walmart. I’ll definetly have to check ours again. My Walmart where I live has always carried fabric. Usually if I want unique fabric I go to Jo-Ann.
I agree! I don’t think I would make fancy drapes or anything with the Walmart fabric. But for a cute little pillow or even place mats, this will be great for me!
Love your pillow; you have very cute ideas. Hope your trip to France is a success!! Yeah for your son (both sons actually) being a member of the band; great experience!
Thanks Carol! It’s been a lot of fun and a great experience for us all!
How adorable! I have never seen such cute fabric at the walmart here. I will have to hurry over and have a look!
Hurry hurry, it’s going fast lol!
I LOVE this pillow idea. The fabric is adorable, but my mind is travelling to another type of fabric. . . This is yet another economical and versatile project, Debbie. All of us non-sewers of the world can change it up any way we want to! And who doesn’t love a little twine? Thanks again so much for being a constant source of inspiration!
Thank you Judy for your kind words!
Oh I just love the print and the pillow you made from it! I do not have a sewing machine so I appreciate how easy this is. How exciting that you are going to Normandy too!
That looks fantastic Debbie, our WM has fabric too, and it’s so cheap!
It is so reasonable! We don’t have a huge selection, but enough I can have fun and play around with.
Your pillow turned out so cute. I love that fabric and really wish our Walmart sold fabric. What a wonderful trip for your son’s band to take. They must be very good. I seem to remember you went on the Ireland trip. Will you go on this one, too? (Well, duh. Of course you will.)
You bet we will! Can’t wait. Been on my bucket list for as long as I can remember.
Super cute fabric! I might have to make a no sew kitchen window valance if I can find the fabric. Off to Walmart tomorrow.
Walmart better stock up lol!
Hi Debbie, I enjoy your blog. Such pretty fabric. I’ll have to look for it at our Walmart here in Kearny, NJ. The fabric would make pretty curtains as well. I’m not much of a sewer either but I bet you can come up with a way to make curtains with out sewing them. Best wishes for your son going to high school and going to Paris with his school. What a wonderful opportunity. Also best wishes to your other son who is going to college this fall.
You are a person after my own heart with the no-sew creations….Love the pillow….great job and love the twine!…and take me with you!!!!…I loved Normandy….I hope you get to do some shopping while you are there!!!…
Super cute pillow idea and you’re right; that fabric is adorbs! Thanks for sharing!
