Hi there everyone!
Today, I am sharing how to add length to your drapes without sewing.
I discovered the best product ever. You don’t even need an iron.
You can hem anything, add trim, and in my case add length to drapes.
So let me start with the basics.
I bought these pretty drapes from Home goods. A new Home good just opened up literally 10 minutes from home. It’s going to be trouble, I can feel it.
I bought this peel n stick from Walmart months ago. I never used it before and I was curious on how it worked.
Now was the time to try it.
You can see how long and tall these windows are. A traditional 84 inch comes down to the window sil. I knew I needed at least 12 more inches added to come to the ground.
So I measured first and cut the brown panels about twelve inches long. I adhered the peel n stick across the bottom of the other panel and removed the top strip.
That left me with a clear adhesive.
I placed my cut brown panel making sure that the hem line on the bottom was not backwards and showing the stitching.
There you go!
Would you ever know the difference?
Now I do have to take the steamer and get some of these wrinkles out.
I’m so happy with the turn out. Our bedroom is getting a little Fall/Winter makeover. It’s been years since I bought new panels. Because they are so expensive for longer ones. The total cost for both windows was less than $50.00. I had some reward dollars too so in essence it cost me around $30.00.:)
Thanks so much for stopping over today. If you are not a regular, I sure would love to see you back again.
Had to have a candle going while I worked in here today. I adore these crackling wick woodwick candles. They last forever and smell oh so good!
Thank you so much for visiting with me today.
