“Theres no place like home, theres no place like home!!~ Soooooo happy to be back! First off, I missed all you guys, and I am soooo sorry for all the posts I have missed reading. There is no way to catch up so I am just taking it from here. I will be sharing our vaca in small doses…so much we packed in a short time. Really it was a lot of visiting with friends and family mostly, and a lot of eating. One highlight of the vacation was our day trip to Miami. My husband wanted to get a tattoo, which we will get into that later. Where else to go, but Miami!~ Well we decided we would make it a family venture, and it a venture it was. My boys have seen and heard things I never dreamed they would so early on, however, exposure to different cultures are a good thing!
It was a nice HOT day! The humidity in Florida was very high this day. My boys where real troopers. First thing we did when we arrived was eat at Nice Mexican resteraunt.
This is my Me and my Mother in law…she is quite the hottie in case you noticed!
Alex is very independent in the city..he sure knows how to get around, and I can see him living a city life someday.
This is the latest thing since we where there last…you can rent a moped for the day. They are all over the place and really are so very dangerous when driving, they weave in and out of traffic and they are all over the place.
Ok, so now on to the real story…..this dude was in front of the tattoo parlor…he was an interesting character to say the least. My boys have for sure decided they will never take up smoking, as they saw this dude hack up a lung or two…and it was GROSS!
You may recall some time back, my husband was given a clock from his father whom he just recently connected with after many many years….well the clock had special meaning to him, then and NOW…so he decided he would have a special rememberence tattooed on him….well four hours later…and education in the city of MIAMI that my boys will never forget, here it is….
It really is incredible, and he is so happy!!~ Hope you enjoyed your trip to MIAMI!!~:) More to come later.
Don’t forget about my B & A party goings on NOW!
Wow, what a neat tattoo but ouch!!
Linda @ A La Carte
I haven’t been to Miami in many years but I bet an ‘education’ was had by all. Love the tattoo and glad he is happy. REALLY happy you are back home!
Kim @ Savvy Southern Style
Glad you are back and glad you had a good time. That tattoo is amazing. No way could I get one. That had to hurt.
Pam @ diy Design Fanatic
Miami looks great! Miami can’t be any worse than Venice Beach (where Mary Jane is sold on the boardwalk) and Hollywood or Hollyweird as we call it sometimes! Strange, but fun!
Mike’s tattoo is cool!Glad to have you back 🙂
The Barnett Family
What better way to educate your boys than real-life experiences…right? I know y’all had a BLAST. What an awesome tat….great that it has some meaning to it. Kinda want one myself…BUT it is permanent. YIKES and the PAIN!!!! Waiting on the vac. photos!!!
Great post…and awesome tattoo! The artist did a great job!
Lou Cinda @ Tattered Hydrangeas
Awesome tat!! It always amazes me how gorgeous a tattoo CAN be, when done by a true tattoo ARTIST! This one is beautiful!
Glad you had a great trip and can’t wait to see more photos.
Lou Cinda 🙂
Sounds like you had a good trip. I know when I go somewhere, I am always glad to get back home. Think I will pass on the tattoo place – I am chicken, but really don’t want to get one anyway.
Have not been to Miami in many, many years.
Welcome back ! We just got back from our vacation too! My kids have seen way more than I ever did too but as long as we are there with them as they experience it, I think it’s a positive experience.
Pat @ Mille Fiori Favoriti
Welcome home! It sounds like a fun and interesting vacation, and Mike’s tatoo came out so berautiful and well detailed..amazing!
You cracked me up about the “MIL”!!!hahaha! Glad you had a great time!
The Garden Bell
What a great trip. So many fun colors to see. So, the big question is just how much hairspray does the MIL use to keep that do in the humidity…giggle-giggle…
The other question is how did you get your header picture so big and centered. I’ve have been working on mine for like for ever and can’t seem to get it centered.
Back to the drawing board and welcome home.
I LOVE Mike’s tattoo. The person is very talented indeed. I think it is great for him to have that reminder of something special to him(as you said, now and then). Hope you had a great time, glad you are back!! Thanks for stopping over too!
A girl needs 2 Talk
Wowwwwwwww! Deb! My breath just got taken away! How did the husband have the guts??
Plus, Mum in law and you, make one hot pair!
Glad your back!!! We have missed you!!!! Your MIL is a real woMAN!!!! Ha!!! Mike has more testicular fortitude than me! I couldn’t handle the pain of it! I can barely stand a shot!! What special piece for him though as it will always carry special memories. Do the boys want one now?
What a cool tattoo – the indian reminds me of the one on the cover of those red chief writing tablets, do you remember them?
Looks pretty neat but looks painful. I love Miami, been there a few times. I like the South Beach area. Enjoy more of your vacation. I am flying to California tomorrow but it’s not really a happy trip..Christine
No Way Hosay on the tatoo! I’m not going there! Now, I would have enjoyed all the culture of Miami though! I’ve never been but it has always seemed like it would be a lot of fun to visit! Looks like you had a great time in Miami too! Welcome back!
Welcome back to you, too! Looks like you had a great time on your trip. I can’t wait to read more!

The Polka Dot Closet
OMG he really did it, got a tattoo, what do you think? Midlife crisis or tribute to Dad, and how does a woman your mother inlaws age get her boobs to stay up???? Oh I have so many questions! I am sooo glad your back, I honestly missed you!
My name is PJ.
seriously – I have the tattoo of an Indian on my left shoulder too. It’s a bit larger than his…and it’s an Indian maiden, but still…….great minds!

Love the tat! My hubby and our son have tattoos…and I love and am amazed at the artistry…but for me, I don’t think I could be brave enough to get one…being such a wimp to pain! (It’s amazing that I was able to give birth without being knocked out or without any meds!
Blessings & Aloha!
(Thankyou so much for entering and following! I am trying to do some blog reading…I reallly wanted to join in with your before & after…but still have to figure out how to get my post completed & up in time!)
