DIY farmhouse sunflower and dairy farm pallet sign

DIY farmhouse sunflower and dairy farm pallet sign

Good day to you all! Considering, I have only used my very own cow dairy farm stencil, I wanted to create something cute for our kitchen this fall.

***This post will contain affiliate links to Amazon of which if you purchase something, I earn a little something***

I found these cute and very inexpensive pallet signs at Walmart. The sign was under $5.00.pallet-sign-at-walmart

These signs are actually perfect for my stencil line because the size is just right.

First I painted my sign with two coats of chalky paint I had on hand.

I found this pretty sunflower stencil last year on line.  The link is highlighted to a very similar one sold on Amazon.

If you are not familiar with stenciling or how to, please check out my stenciling page and I have a simple 3 minute video tutorial

HERE.

I created my sunflower with traditional colors. Yellow, black and green craft paint.

After my sunflower dried, I layerd my dairy cow stencil on top. I should have centered it a little better, but you know me, who needs perfect. I have mastered imperfection.

I actually like it just the way it is. I will put this in our kitchen, perhaps on the kitchen window shelves. I can add a few fresh sunflowers in my mason jars, and call it fall decorating complete!

YAY!~ We are off to Clemson this weekend to visit our son. The guys will attend the football game while this Momma will stay back and clean her sons apartment, catch up on his laundry, and perhaps do a little decorating. I had no desire to go to the game this time. The tickets were very pricey for one thing, and for two, I know it would drive me nuts knowing I had some mom work to do at our sons place. So I may as well stay back and do what I do.

Pin it, make it:)

I had to share this clever and special surprise I had the other night when I went to my monthly bunco outing. So yes, versatile indeed! So thoughtful of my friend to do this. It was a great surprise!  My friend simply placed the stencil on top and sprinkled the sugar. She said it was a little tricky with the over sprinkle but she brushed it to the side of the cake as shown here.

Going to Walmart to see if they have the pallet! I want to stencil your cow stencil I purchased on a pallet. Don’t know if they have them here.
