How to make your own Holiday napkins using fabric markers

By Debbiedoo's Team Published: Nov 22, 2013 · Modified: Feb 4, 2025

Hey, hey there gang!

how y’all doing?
Hope well and enjoying the upcoming Holiday season.

Today, I am sharing how to make your own Holiday napkins using fabric markers.

I have only used fabric markers two other times when I made my

diy stenciled burlap pillow with fabric markers, and a diy burlap wedding shower banner.

Truly, honestly, I really mean it, the easiest project you will whip out in a less than 30 minutes.

I picked up these plain white napkins from Walmart.

They come in a two pack for $1.97.

I had a dream, I mean a vision for these.

Supplies you need:

Napkins

fabric markers

Stencils.

I always have most of my supplies on hand, you should too that way you can create and make something whenever you get the whim to do so.

I didn’t even tape my stencil down.  I simply held it as I shaded my snowflake in.

I did however put a piece of cardboard under the stencil so the marker did not bleed through.

I just used the packaging the napkins came in.

The peel and stick stencils are the best.  You can get those just about everywhere now.  Michael’s, Hobby lobby, Walmart, they all carry them in the craft section.

Just peel, stick and stencil.

L O V E!

I am so excited to set our Holiday table soon and use these bad boys.

Although, the family will think they are too fancy to use, I will insist they use them, because I can wash them.

The fabric markers are permanent.

Not much more to say about this project, it was simple, fast, and no craft fail on my part.

Tis the season!

I love these napkins and your baby banner is adorable. I have got to keep my eyes open for these markers. We do not have a craft store in our area, but because they are made my crayola . . . maybe Walmart will carry them 🙂 Love your blog !

Thank you so much:) Yes, I am betting they sell them at Walmart too. These came from Hobby lobby, half price for $2.50.

I always use cloth napkins and nobody in my family hinges they are too fancy! My question is will these napkins withstand many washings?

Not sure about many, but I did use them twice last year and washed them and they still looked great.
