Pumpkin seed craft and painting on wood with Rit dye

By Debbiedoo's Team Published: Sep 13, 2012 · Modified: Feb 4, 2025

Let the Fall crafting begin!

How about I share my First Fall craft idea of the season!~

A few weeks ago I bought these wood plaques from Hobby lobby.  I want to say they were $2.00 each.

Not sure exactly what I would do with them. As that is the norm. I never know until it strikes me.

I had this project sitting on our table for over a week before I decided what to do with it.

Did you know you could paint wood with Rit dye?
Yep,you can!

More on that later on.

Believe it or not, I have only taken out ONE Fall bin this year.

I am keeping it light and just getting the gist.  I tend to go overboard every year.

Now Halloween, that may be a different story.

This is nothing fancy, just fun.

Pumpkin seeds, twine and tiny orange ribbon rolled for the center of the flowers.

Just a snippet for now.

I will show you more of the Fallified Kitchen soon.

Thanks for stopping by today.

very pretty Deb.. I love the pitcher in the window. I too am following the Less is More..In my fall decor and all over the house. it feels good to look around and not see a bunch of chatchkies every where and knowing I dont have to dust all that makes me smile and breath a sigh of relief.

That is too cute! Aren’t you clever using pumpkin seeds for flowers!

I give you credit for only taking out 1 box of decor. Every season/holiday I decorate, I always wonder if I’ve gone overboard. I need to purge!

That is the cutest craft! I love how you made flower petals out of pumpkin seeds and stems out of twine. That would be a cute project for kids at school too using construction paper.

Pumpkin seed flowers! How cute! Quite creative to think of and I love how simple it is too, and I really mean that in a very complimentary way. I am all about simplicity these days! I also love how your mind comes up with these things. I was trying to keep it very simple too this year but find myself adding more vignettes all around using old stuff. It’s just too fun!
