Camping based it on years of studying the Bible, and a math equation based on what he believes is the date of Christ’s crucifixion.
“That’s a very interesting perspective”, said Arlene Lynch who says she’s keeping the faith.
“There’s been so much new thought on the Bible, new revelations on it since some of the lost testimony was discovered in the 1940’s that I’m not sure he’s taken that into consideration.”
“I guess it’s a little bit in the back of your mind. you wonder is it gonna happen? could it happen? ” said Stacey Gilbert of Westerville.
“It’s out of my control if it happens. If it happens, it happens. If it doesn’t I’ll just wake up on the 22nd and go on with out lives. I’m not too worried.”
Some say life is short, eat chocolate. At the Chocolate Cafe in Grandview Heights, Elise Lynch agrees. “Whether life is short or long, you should probably be eating chocolate”, she said.
A sweet idea. Guess we’ll all have to wait and see.

The bible says no one knows the day nor the hour. I don't believe any of these people who say the world is going to end on a certain day. They have been doing this for years. Have a great weekend.

Just in case…it has been a pleasure knowing you!!!
I agree with Kim – honestly those people irritate me. Just the same it never hurts to take stock of what of is important and do things like readjust your priorities and let people know you care.
Good documentary shot of the remaining wood!! Have fun picking out new trees.
The Bible says no one knows the day nor the hour save the Father. So Jesus does not know either so how on earth could this man know?
Ann from On Sutton Place
Basically this guy is nuts. Have a great weekend! See you at your Newbie Partay! ~Ann

I'm looking forward to this guy explaining himself on Sunday when we all wake up to another day. We should all live like today is our last day regardless…with no regrets and lots of "I love you's"!
Have fun planting trees today…we are doing the same! And we'll see you tomorrow!!
At The Picket Fence
LOL! It seems like every year someone decides THEY know the exact day the world will end and it just proves how much they DON'T know! 🙂
You cracked me up about not wanting to leave a mess…kind of like cleaning the house before you go on vacation, huh?!
Susan @ Busy Home Adventures
Yep, I echo what everyone else is saying, no one can know! This guy also predicted the same thing in 1994 but then after it didn't happen he said that Christ did come back and took the Holy Spirit away and now no one should go to churches anymore because they are all run by Satan. No kidding. It's sad because many people believed him and even sold their homes to pay for billboards.
As a Christian I'd be thrilled if Jesus came back but I don't think it will be today. It is nice to think about how we're living our lives though in a "what if" sense to make ure we're living according to our true beliefs.
have a great weekend!
Great Post!! I agree with all of you'all. We just need to always live in love and let everyone know of our great Savior Jesus!
Ditto what all the others said about "no man knows the day nor the hour" – – – I think we're "safe" today.
Been nice knowing you!!! 🙂 That is a bunch of hooey. God will do it in his own time and we will have no idea! It is nice that you are cleaning up for him just in case though! Have a great weekend friend!!!
Something Nice and Pretty
Hi Deb, great post BTW and I'm like you I wouldn't want to leave a mess, know one know's and it will be in a blink of an eye, so that's why my house is still a mess.LOL Plus I have to work today and the mess will still be here when I come home! So you can see I believe I'll be here tomorrow:) See you tomorrow!
That guy must not read the same Bible as the one I know. I agree with everyone–live EACH day as if it might be your last and then it won't matter. I do like your cleanup attitude, Deb!
"It's the same ol' song, but with a different beat…."
It's kind of sad, really, that people get all worked up over this. By focusing on one time frame, they're missing out on a lot of positivity and happiness that life could bring.
Just crazy talk. Everyone I know is talking about it. Why do people like to live in fear?
I'm with you I will be cleaning the house then I'll go to the gym and lift weights like Sponge Bob. 🙂
"For you yourselves know full well that the day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night". 1Thessalonians 5:2
Sooo, see ya at the newbie party!
It is as foolish as the movie 2012 was… No one knows when it will be the end of this universe…. just imagine if you knew about your future or things like that … Can you live with peace? God love us and I mystries and knowing about future is only for HIM not for us ordinary people…. HE love us so much that HE give the peace of mind, a relaxed life, and beautiful dream for future… not as horrible thing as that guy said…
Love you all, love the people, love the universe
Hope you like to visit and love to feel the beauty and fragrance of flowers at
I just dont get people who do these types of things. Its so weird and creepy. Well anyway your yard is going to look nice. Have fun planting trees.

I love the "just in case" thing. I always spend more time cleaning house than packing when going on vacation-just in case.
I plan to see you again (on-line) next week!
Well, I'll let you know after 9 pm tonite- that's when it's all supposed to start going to hell in a hand basket here in Ohio! Mybe I should clean up my house, just in case- wouldn't want any survivors to see all my messes….
Connie the crafterbug
I think it is best to prepare everyday how you would like to meet your maker because you never know when your last day here on this earth is 🙂
Interesting thoughts….it has been lurking in my thoughts lately, but I'm not worried about it, content as to whatever happens…finally got there in my life, don't ask me how but I am thankfully
Hehehe, funny post Debbie!!! Kyran and I were listening to talk radio yesterday and they were playing an interview of some guy…a Berkeley graduate…who has been teaching his 3 year old daughter about today being the day that the good people are going up to Heaven. What's he going to tell her tomorrow morning when we're all still here??? Cuckoo!!!! Poor kid being raised by such nutjobs!
I like your idea of spending the day planting trees, Debbie! I always love adding a little beauty to the earth! It's been pouring here!
Well, I decided that we should all head to the beach ~ 😉
When it's really time, we won't know until the instant so let's enjoy today…and each tomorrow that we're given.
I heard about this yesterday on the radio. People who do believe this have actually stopped paying their bills. They're in for a rude awakening tomorrow. BTW I love what you said about cleaning up just in case. I do that whenever we go away.
I think I'll go bake a chocolate cake…just in case. :o)
I've heard it mention many times during this week, and on other blogs also. All of these predictions have left me an unbeliever.
Have a great weekend!
All I know is it's Saturday … gorgeous weather … and, I'm ready for a nice cold Mich Ultra with our neighbors !! Have a wonderful weekend. xo
I just went about my business and didn't give it a thought today. Those predictions come up every so often and it's a shame how they get people worked up. BTW did you see the posting from Vignette Design about the blogger who's house got trashed by a big tree? Seeing your cut up tree stacked up made me think of that! Have a great tomorrow Deb!
The Polka Dot Closet
I went to lunch with a friend today and we ate really bad, we thought. what the heck, just incase we did not want our last meal to be a salad!! Looks like we are going to live to see another day!!
See you tomorrow, Debbie! ~ Sarah
Ocean Breezes and Country Sneezes
That guy was insane! Six O'clock came and went and I never gave it a thought until 8:30 p.m! LOL!!!
What types of trees will you plant?
Naila Moon of the Grey Wolf
Still here blogging away. In fact blogged about it too over on my page. Come take a look-sie.
God promises in the Bible that He will come to call his children home to live with Him in heaven for all eternity and ONLY HE knows the day and time! What a wonderful day it will be!!! Won't it be great to meet all our blogging friends face to face 🙂
hilarious, Debbie! and yes, it's the 22nd and we are still here!!!
The Decorative Dreamer
OMG! Just saw this! Read my Sharing Jesus Sunday post about this when you get a chance. You will not believe what my husband told me last night. Amazing! I certainly know better then to believe in this type of stuff but I couldn't agree with you more about taking the oppourtunity to tell everyone how special they are. I did the same thing with all my fb friends yesterday and left a "just in case love message" too, on my status. LOL!
I thought it was crazy and it must have been cause it did not happen…Christine
I was sitting in the swing by the fire pit, obviously drinking my cares away with my family out in the country and when I woke up to reality this AM all I could think of was 'dang! i still gotta do that laundry!'
We know not the place or time.
I heard lots of fireworks last night, I believe alot of people were having rapture parties! It's not over until it's over! Have a great week planting some new trees!
Ricki Jill Treleaven
Hey! I am catching-up on your blog. Can you believe that the speaker @ my daughter's graduation based his whole speech on the possibility that the world would end the next day???? What an @$$…not a very inspiring speech for these sweet kids who worked so hard to graduate from one of the most difficult high schools in the country….*sighs*….
