Front porch Part II

By Debbiedoo's Team Published: Mar 15, 2011 · Modified: Feb 4, 2025

Here is yet another tid bit on the front porch.
This table is undergoing it’s third transformation.

First time was mod podged,
second time was painted and glazed,
and this time is spray painted and stenciled.
First view a little slide show..I have done these slide shows when I first started blogging and forgot how neat they are.  I have seen some other gals doing videos, Liz, Layla, Carrie, but I am not good with the video camera, just yet, so this was easier.

BEFORE, painted and glazed

This table has three or four different paints and techniques, that I will share in the future, all very simple
notice I stenciled the clay pot too?
I am out of control with the stencils now…
I of course wanted the smeared, rustic, beat up look.
It is not suppose to be neat and all fancy looking.
Thank GOD! I do not do well at those projects, as perfectionist is not my forte’ in the painting furniture department!
That was all about I can show you of the table for now. The front porch is still in process.

Still more to come on the Front porch.
The neighbors sure are talking, and not sure if it is good! Let me just say, our house is standing out with color!

One gal stopped her car and said she  feels like a slacker compared to me..I told her,
“hey it does not take that much energy to get out a can of spray paint”, really, you all need to try it and be sure to come to my partay on March 25th to see all kinds of fun colorful projects!

I feel like a slacker compared to you too, Deb. I haven't done one thing to my front porch, other than hang a wreath on the door. Maybe later on this week I will try to catch up with you, we are suppose to have pretty weather later on. Love the rooster!

Absolutely love the slide show, very cool…..you take for granted that what you do is easy but what you might not know about those of us that can't do what you do is…. our brains are wired differently and when I think of trying to do that my wires get crossed in my brain and then they fry and just the steam comes out from being frustrated…..seriously that's what happens…feel blessed you have your brain you lucky girl and I will continue to come and visit you everyday and dream

Love your slide show, and the table is super duper! You are so amazing. Too cold yet in Ohio to be thinking outdoor relaxing, but I felt warmer just looking at your porch. Love the pillow too. Great job. Peggy

I do like seeing all your "transformations"! I am sure that you are a great motivator and inspiration to your neighbors :o) ….as you are in this world of blogging.

    Blessings & Aloha!
And thank you so much for your visit and kind words on my post :o) & how very thankful for the work, passion, knowledge, etc that is out there for cancer research and cures. The child oncologists that we met and became a special part of our family's lives were exactly what we needed…one was the "wise, supportive grandfather"-type figure, the other the "nurturing mom"-type, and the 3rd was the "matter-of-fact former military"-type. Thank you for sharing that you had a part in that medical field…and your understanding. It was a very intense protocol with more varieties of chemo, but a shorter protocol than the normal 2 years.
