Father’s day gift idea

By 17 Comments

Hi there everyone!

A few weeks ago I shared some inspiring ways to package sweets and treats for that someone special.

Give_BakeryBecause_Logo

Well, that someone special is coming up here shortly and that will be a day we are celebrating Father’s!

I have a Father’s day gift idea I wanted to share just in case you want to give something sweet and special.

Remember I said just handing over sweets in their original packaging certainly is not that thoughtful of an idea.

Although, tastes great, I can assure you when given in a cute packaging idea they taste all the better.

I mod podged the napkins on the bottom of a dollar tree clear plastic plate.

This unique Father’s day gift of giving bakery because all started with this plain plastic tool box I found at Walmart for under $10.00.

Spray painting a tool box with rust o leum

I then found a happy color

Anything lemon or lime my husband loves.

Key lime color spray paint seemed like a good choice.

And surprise…

a tool box filled with goodies!

I love the mustache toppers and napkins as well.

 Thanks for stopping over today.

In celebration to Father’s day I would love to offer you a $25.00 gift card for you to use to buy that something sweet and special for that Special Father in your life.  Whether it be your husband, or your Dad, Grand dad or just a special fellow you know that is Dad.

In fact, you can buy anything sweet and special for anyone.

Who would you like to give something special too and why? It’s so easy to visit your local grocer and buy some yummy treats and have fun creatively gifting and packaging them.

Debbie- That is SUCH a cute idea! I love it! Great idea for Dad! It would even be cute for Mother’s Day with a few tools spray painted PINK so hubby didn’t steal them! Fun!!! No need to sign me up for the giveaway-I have won plenty in the past year. xo Diana

This is a darling idea and I love that you painted it key lime! I’d have to find a little golf bag though because my husband isn’t the least bit handy. He has no idea where the tools even are…but would love anything filled with sweets. Love this.

Debbie, I adore this idea and it is one that is unique. I like different!!! Well, since you asked about who I would give the gift card to I will share breifly. It would be my fatherinlove. He and my motherinlove just celebrated 60 years of marriage together. They made a vow and they have kept it. My sweet motherinlove has been sick for a couple of years now and his caregiving for her never ceases to amaze me. It is with love and patience and kindness. His tenderness towards her melts my heart! It has become a family unit of caregivers for her and but also for my sweet fatherinlove as the caregivers is the ones that mainly need the prayers and support. But even with our family having hands on care he has posted such an awesome role model for us all of what it means to be a HUSBAND and not just in the name only. Hugs and blessings, Cindy

Great idea, Debbie! So much better than the boring packaging they regularly come in.

Too Cute! What a great idea. That would be fun for the kids to make and fill with fishing gear? Hmm maybe you just sparked an idea!

My husband bought an old sturdy metal tool box at a flea market, cleaned it up, painted it your same lime green, and gave it to me for my birthday. I was thrilled! I keep al of my repair tools in it.
