I must be the first to admit, I was not the cutest pregnant girl! Seriously, I was huge! I only gained 35lbs with both of my pregnancies, but my A** was huge, my nose blew up, and I had lunch lady arms (no offense to lunch ladies) but some have been known to have some jiggly arms! I never felt healthier though, my hair was shiny, my nails grew nicely, and I had really big boobs for once in my life! I can remember a few comments that I will never forget. In spite of it all, I LOVED being Pregnant, and felt great the entire time…til my feet blew up like watermelons the week of! Here are my unforgettable comments…….
1.) “Holy cow…. you are huge, are you having twins”?
2.) “Oh I can tell you are having a boy because your nose spread”
3.) “You know your body is never going to be the same”
4.) “My labor was horrible I felt like I was going to die, hope yours is better”
Those are the most notable ones I can remember.
People where more polite though with holding doors open for me, helping me out with my groceries, etc….Ever since all of the above I told myself I would never say anything but wonderful things to a pregnant girl.
A close friend of mine just had a baby and the entire time, I told her how beautiful and glowing and fantastic she looked…and she did. I am sure most of you are the same way. And if you are NOT, please think before you say things, pregnant women are sensitive, and we could cry at the drop of a dime, or laugh at nothing.
That was me for sure.
My husband and I went to Friendly’s ice cream, toward the end of my pregnancy with Alex…all I wanted was a simple strawberry cone. We waited in line for 20 minutes on a very hot summer day, I got my cone, walked outside, and the entire scoop fell to the ground.
I dropped to the curb in tears and sobbed like a baby! Needless to say my husband gave up his cone LOL!
So tell me some good pregnancy stories.…….
and for the record both my deliveries were good.
Alex was 9.6lbs, however the nurse did say OMG his head is huge…not something you want to hear when you have it coming out your GINA!
I sucked him back in only for a moment and then he flew out!
Jack was 8.12lbs…both big boys!
I had to be induced both times early because they where growing fast! Must be all those PB&J’s I ate!
