Cool mirror before and after makeover

By Debbiedoo's Team Published: Aug 17, 2010 · Modified: Jun 10, 2013

Cool mirror before and after  makeover
Original was gold and outdated.
BEFORE

I did a little research on the company and it turns out it was pretty popular in the day…and what I am gathering the mirror is from the 50’s. For 4.99 I thought I will come up with something cool and fun to do with it.

If you know anything more about this company let me know:)

I completely taped them mirror part and then spray painted the outer with ocean breeze color by Krylon, then used a small craft copper glaze for the detail.

Had a vinyl initial and I placed it in the center.

Now where to put it is another story, I do however have two places in mind another post to follow on that.

Up close you can see the glaze
Finished mirror, now where to put it

So cute

This is something my Mom recently made for me…how cute is this? I do get a lot of company and it is a nice thing to have.

And here is where the mirror wound up after all

Thanks for stopping by today.

    Hi there Debbie,
I LOVE your mirror makeover! The color is fabulous! Do you mind sharing the name of it? I went to the G.W. today too in hopes of finding some treasures to revamp and had no luck! I guess that I should be happy with all the loot I found at last weekends garage sales! The guest book your mom made is so pretty! What a thoughtful gift!

Awesome job on the mirror, seriously! I love the coloring you did on that. You are growing in fame. You were on again at 10:15pm last night, HGTV and then hold on to your seat now, again today at 6:30pm, HGTV. Primetime baby! That's right!

Love the mirror, especially the color. I am sure you will find the perfect place for it. Aqua or teal seems to be the "in" color this year from clothes to home accessories. It really goes with so many other colors.

I love the makeover you gave the mirror! Love the color! Would you share the color and maybe a short tutorial? Love the guest book. We keep a guest book/journal at our condo on Anna Maria Island. It is so much fun to read and see what other family members and friends had to say about their visit and what they did while they were there.
