Cookies for Santa diy plate

By Debbiedoo's Team Published: Nov 14, 2013 · Modified: Dec 18, 2016

Hopefully you are gearing up for 2nd annual Dollar Tree Christmas Party that Debbie and Shannon will be hosting starting December 7th!

Today I am sharing a cookies for Santa diy plate

Keeping with that theme I thought it would be fun to go ahead and challenge myself by creating a new Dollar Tree project! I decided I wanted to make a special plate for our daughter to leave Santa’s cookies on Christmas Eve.

I remember as a child having a special plate that my mom would get out just for Santa!

Who wouldn’t love that? I hit up the Dollar Tree and found the perfect plate and then I had Matt whip up a cute image of Jolly ole St. Nick with the words Cookies for Santa!

You can create your own Santa plate by using the

santa printable

Cookies for Santa PDF found HERE.

If you don’t have a vinyl cutter you can always just print the PDF and snag a picture frame at the Dollar Tree to sit next to your plate of cookies so that Santa knows they are for him!

Because my plate will only be used once a year I decided to use vinyl instead of paint or other products.

There really isn’t a need for this to be a permanent application. It’s much more decorative than not. Before applying the vinyl clean your plate well with alcohol, you want to make sure the vinyl has the best adhesion possible.

I started out by applying Santa to the plate using transfer tape.

Once Santa was in place I laid out the words Cookies, for, and Santa and applied them using the same method.

With all of the images and words transferred my plate is ready to go! I hope Santa likes the plate as much as I do!!!
