Easy Christmas decorating ideas for the kitchen

Hi there! Thanks for stopping over today! I am all about the easy ideas here.Funny, the other day my husband was cooking and I think he was a bit perplexed as to why I was not snapping pictures of his recipe.  Don’t get me wrong, it was delicious.  However, I felt it NOT to be that simple.  I told him, I only share quick and simple ideas for y’all.  No offense honey:)

Today, I am sharing some easy Christmas decorating ideas for the kitchen.

Christmas decorating in the kitchen

I love to display my vintage finds.  This pyrex bowl was perfect.  Do you spy the rooster? Sadly it does not have a lid.  But it looks perfect with fruits and salads in it.

I started the decor with my Diy Dollar tree cabinet wreaths.

Vintage red scale my Mom found for us a few years back. Displayed along are my winterberry pfaltzgraff dishes, a mason jar and some dollar tree decor.

I recently found a large ball jar to pair along with my smaller one.  This red gift filler is perfect for filling mason jars and adding some Christmas cheer.

I am loving the kitchen shelving my husband installed for me a few weeks ago.

I told you, I will have a lot of fun throughout the year displaying simple kitchen decor, plants and herbs.

I really liked the kitchen window shelf idea the first time I saw it in the edition you introduced them to us. So much so I am going to ask my boyfriend to put them up for me when we move to our new place, well that is once we find the new place. Now that you have them all decked out I LOVE them. My mind started flashing on all of the other holidays and everyday decorating ideas. Thank you for the shelves and the inspiration. Have a great day!

everything looks lovely. But I have to let you know, I still have three out of four pyrex bowls from over 30 years ago, and I don’t think they ever had lids!! so you’re ahead of the game. I saw a bowl recently at GoodWill for $5, it was pink, I should have bought it just for things like this, putting fruit in, etc. anyway, mine are avacado green, the popular color of the 70’s!!! keep up the good work, very inspiring, and thanks for sharing!!!

I only have this bowl. I think I assumed they all come with lids. Good to know!

Debbie, I love all the windows in your house. BIG windows! So much wonderful light! So many places for displays and vignettes! Am I green with envy? Absolutely! But I also love all the decorations you put in those wonderful windows. And I like that so much can be done that is festive and decorative with DT’s items. Thanks for sharing your holiday decor.

This last is just an observation. Maybe it’s just me but I am finding your web-site a little hard to navigate. Like, for instance, this time when I was trying to get to the Holiday crafts I just couldn’t find where to click. Finally I realized that the title to the page worked. But it wasn’t clearly marked or stated at all. I don’t know if there is anything you could do to make us “older folks” have an easier time navigating the post or not. Does anyone else have this kind of problem that you know of? Maybe it’s just me. And please take this info as just a friendly comment and not criticism.

I’ll be checkin’ out the rest of the holiday decor as you post. Thanks for the ideas and a look at those lovely windows!

Hi Naomi, thanks for you kind comment and your input. I haven’t had anyone else mention it being hard to navigate. I have a search bar that you can type in anything you are looking for, then you simply click on the post. I hope next time it is better for you.
