Cinnamon sugar bread

By Debbiedoo's Team Published: Jul 18, 2013 · Modified: Feb 4, 2025

Hello again from

On Sutton Place!

So happy to be back here to share another sweet treat with Debbie’s fans.

Up today is a bread that is truly a make-any-time recipe. Every ingredient is probably in your pantry right now.

No weird stuff or something you need to add to your grocery list!

These “easy ingredient”  recipes are just the best and this one is super simple. It would be a great thing for kids to make or even a beginner baker.

2 c. flour
1 T. baking powder
½ t. salt
1 egg
1 c. milk
⅓ c. vegetable oil
1 c. white sugar
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Prepare one large bread pan or use smaller pans as desired.
Combine flour, baking powder and salt in the bowl of a standing mixer.
Add egg, milk and oil until well combined.
In a small bowl mix ⅓ c. sugar and 2 t. cinnamon.
Pour half the batter into pan(s.)
Sprinkle cinnamon and sugar mixture over batter.
Cover with remaining batter and top with more cinnamon/sugar.
Bake for 45 min. or until a pick inserted in the center comes out clean.
(I made mini loaves and baked them for 25 minutes.)

This recipe could easily be made into muffins and can be doubled if you are feeding a crowd. I’d like to say a warm thank you to Debbie for sharing her blog with me.

I love visiting and can’t wait to come back next month.

I have more quick bread recipes on my blog if you’d like to take a look!

If I wasn’t tucked into bed reading blogs I’d go make this now to have in the morning. Maybe tomorrow then.
