Magazine copy challenge…ready set, let’s do it!

By Debbiedoo's Team Published: May 31, 2012 · Modified: Feb 4, 2025

 Hi there!

And welcome to Debbiedoo’s Magazine copy cat challenge!

if you are new here and you have NO clue what this party is all about.

Let me fill you in real fast.

You find your magazine image inspiration, and you simply copy it!

Of course, it does NOT have to be an exact.  In fact, it is fun to see your own fun twist on it.

So without further ado, let’s get to this months party.

Here is my inspiration

{bhg}

Patriotic Table

My favorite photos are always my outdoor ones, so I try to find things I can do outside.

One thing I do, is incorporate all of the elements my inspiration provides..in this case, flowers, paper products, and the red white and blue color scheme.

I look around for things I already have, and just change them up accordingly.

This challenge should never cost you a lot of money, really if ANY at all!

This is just how easy it is!
ENJOY!

Have fun visiting other participants!
Please add my button or link to your post.

Thank you as always for joining in.
It sure would not be much fun without ya!

XO

Hi Debbie, I love your take on the BH & G tablescape! Very nicely done, and a fun party! What I’m wondering is how you got such a nice, clear photo from the magazine. I had a magazine page and simply photographed the page but it didn’t look so great – fuzzy, not sharp. Did you get your pic from BH & G’s website rather than a hard copy of the magazine?
    Thanks, Beth

I so wanted to participate in the challenge this time around and just couldn’t get it together. The weather here is totally bizarre– two days ago it was 97. Today it’s 49 with a cold rain. I am freezing with a darn fleece on! Miffed at the world today until I found some inspiration in blogland! Your party looks great! I had my idea all ready, but needed to finish with some spray paint and it didn’t happen. I’ll try to be ready next month!

Opps I did it again….. I thumbed through magazines this morning and thought I better check to see how long I have for my FAVORITE party. So I missed it – darn me anyhow. But guess what? That’s ok because I found not one, but two things to make, so I’m going to make them both in the next month and then be ready for two month’s worth of magazine copy cat challenges. HA! Won’t catch me late for the party for the rest of summer.

You are so funny Bliss. I only keep it open for a few days…because it gets lost in the shuffle otherwise. I think the first two days are when it is hot. I am glad you found some inspiration for a the next two!
