Dr. Pepper crock pot pork chops

By Debbiedoo's Team Published: Oct 13, 2014 · Modified: Oct 21, 2021

MMMM..mmmm…good!

Slow cooker chops

Today I am sharing Dr. Pepper crock pot pork chops.

This is the time of year that my crock stays out. I love cooking in the crock pot and it is such a no brainer way to have dinner ready on the table when the troops get home.

These were so tender I was actually lucky to get a picture of them in one piece.

the quick home made gravy topped them off nicely.

Enjoy.

If you are not a regular here, I sure would love to have you back again.

Dr. Pepper crock pot pork chops

Print Recipe Pin Recipe

Ingredients

  • 6-8 Pork chops with or without bone. I did bone in
  • 1 can and a half of Dr. Pepper
  • 12 oz. of ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • corn starch

Instructions

  • Place all ingredients in the crock pot (stir).
  • Cook on low for 6 hours or until the pork chops are cooked through. They will be so tender at this point.
  • In a separate bowl I added the juice about two cups from the crock pot and added 1-2 tablespoon of corn starch, whisked with a fork to form gravy. You can also use flour if you don't have corn starch on hand. Serve with a side of potatoes or rice and enjoy!

If this is anything like the other recipes, I can’t wait to try it. I LOVE my crock pot. I made your Dorito casserole the other night but this time I used ground beef and it was delicious too. We are having pork chops tonight but unfortunately I had already cooked them before I read this one. Next time. Thank you.

Just wanted to let you know that I am in NC and I was able to get on your blog. It took me two tries. The first time I got a message that the page could not be displayed. I clicked on fix connection problems and then your site came up.

Hee hee hee that’s too funny–licking your chops…I will confess now, I actually sipped some of the juice, after stuffing myself with the chops, that I’d poured the juice all over!! Such a smooth, great taste…

Oh, my! I made this for dinner tonight. While I misread the recipe (completely my fault), it turned out great. So great in fact that my four-year-old begged me three times during dinner to make it again…and ate two helpings! We served it alongside rice drizzled with the gravy. Ours turned out a bit more tomatoey (since instead of putting in a can and a half of Dr. Pepper, I put in a cup and a half). I would love to make it the correct way next time (but I worry I would have a mutinying 4-year-old)! Thanks for posting such a wonderful recipe! Have you tried it with chicken breasts? I was wondering how that would turn out.

Can other soda be used, or only Dr. Pepper? I have Root Beer on hand, but not Dr. P.

I have read in other recipes that call for soda that you should not use diet. That is all that I ever have on hand. Please post how the diet worked out.

I am going to put these in the crock pot right now. Funny how I have a bottle of Dr Pepper in the frig. Must be a sign

Thanks for the recipe. I will be checking out the rest of your site. 🙂

So mine did not have the color in the picture. Mine were way more tomatoey. I followed the recipe as it is written.

Maybe you needed more flour or cornstarch. How was the taste, more so concerning than the color?
