Decorating with Burlap, painting with Chalk paint, and changing a vignette!

By Debbiedoo's Team Published: Aug 17, 2011 · Modified: Aug 3, 2013

Yes all in a day’s work!
Decorating with burlap,
I painted with Chalk paint and of course one thing lead to another, had to change a vignette!
A little Mod podge can make everything OK!
I had this old trunk that needed updating.
I simply burlaped the top
Painted the trunk with Arles Annie Sloan chalk paint
and then lightly distressed.
Looks like it was totally meant to be.
I really like the touch of texture the burlap adds to the box.
I mod podged it on..
FUN!
Do you remember my Moss ball, that my friend made for me?
Well I have had it since April, and it is still alive and well.
Thanks for stopping over today.
I love my old books that I have found mostly at Goodwill and thrift stores…my seltzer bottle in which my FIL gave to us.
Of course while I was in the painting mode, I had to step outside…
this is just a sneak peek.
