Copper and silver, can you mix the two?

By Debbiedoo's Team Published: Apr 23, 2011

I love the mix of copper and silver together in any element. Some people think you can’t do it, or it does not look right.  It truly depends, however I find I do it often and like it.

I also love mixing gold and silver jewelery together.
No matching is best for me.
While browsing home goods with my gal pal, I spotted this gorgeous cross in the clearance section.
No price,
and the only one like it.
I found the sales associate and she did a price check and told me it was
9.99!
SOLD!

Mr. Doo’s really liked this new cross too!
What do you think? You like mixing the two elements, or not so much?

I have since changed some things in this bathroom and will share with you a project soon.

Have a great day!!!
XO
Happy Easter!

See you tomorrow night for the newbie party..

Diy, thrifty home decor. Painting furniture, crafts, stenciling, burlap projects.

I like the cross Debbie and have often wondered. I have all stainless steel in my kitchen and would love to mix copper "stuff" because I love it (just can't afford it) lol. You go ahead and start a new trend so that I can do it when my kitchen is finished.

Hi Debbie Dear! I love the mix and you know how to do it right. I've decided tall ladies like you use big accessories and short ones like me tend to use little ones! 🙂
Have a blessed Easter, Dear One,

I've always mixed metals,Debbie. Clients like that because we can use more of their things. It just makes sense to use restraint and good taste! But I think YOU know that! Your cross is cool beans great! Happy Easter! ~ Sue

It's gorgeous! It is always allowed if they are in the same piece like yours is. Now you can use both metals as much as you want in the room, at least according to my rules of play.

I'm not a newbie but I had to ask, where did you get the burlap pillow in Swedish? You had it propped on a table (not the one on the bed obviously since that is in English). My parents are from Sweden so it made me curious. Tak (thanks in Swedish), Katharine

Love the cross Debbie, you scored!
I think that when copper and silver are mixed into the design, it can work. It's how you feel with the end result that counts. I absolutely love the look of copper, kinda feels vintagie, while silver is feels mostly modern but the two can work nicely together when incorporating it into your design.
