Here’s some motivation for you!

By Debbiedoo's Team Published: Jun 15, 2011 · Modified: Feb 4, 2025

Some of you gals expressed to me, that you don’t have anything to paint for the Summer paint project kick off party on Monday.
Well I think you do, if you look around and think outside the box….
here are just a few fun ideas, simple and you can find most around your house.
We all have a rock or two in our back yard…
Paint your initial, or a house number, this is a really cute idea!

Have an old chair that needs new life?

Cute, and easy!

Have some old trays or even plates around?
Pick up some chalkboard paint at Walmart and Paint it…

Source: Country living
I am betting you have some empty bottles around…
Spray paint them.

So here are just a few examples of something you can paint for Summer.

See you Monday for the Summer Paint Linky party, and blog party going on all week.

Those are great idea's Debbie! There's a lady on Etsy who paints rocks into little English cottages and they're so cute! Also, another lady paints pinecones white and they look so pretty as bowl fillers:)

Some great ideas. As a stoic old grandad once said when his wife complained that a friend there age had taken to wearing MAKEUP! Little red paint even makes an old barn look better.

My sister used to paint rocks. she'd paint animals on them, landscapes, flowers, etc. My girls loved them when they were little. I have a few things to paint, so I'd better get busy!

We love to paint rocks at our house:)! We usually paint river rocks and then I fill the top of our potted houseplants and succulents with them. Kids love it, too!

Great ideas Debbie! My family went camping 2 summers ago and we painted rocks while there. Last summer I painted a few to go in my backyard also, I think I'll take pictures and put them up.
    Thanks!

Oops I also wanted to add when my sisters and I were younger and went to visit my grandparents in the country we would paint rocks. Thank you for reminding me of a really great memory. (I'm going to pass it on to my sisters)
