Dollar Tree Tinsel Bunny and Egg Makeover

By Debbiedoo's Team Published: Feb 26, 2021 · Modified: Jun 11, 2021

Dollar Tree Tinsel Bunny and Egg Makeover

Hello there friends. Today I am sharing a very quick and cute Dollar tree Easter Tinsel Bunny and Egg makeover. Honestly, the original tinsel bunny and eggs are hideous in my opinion. But that is the beauty of the Dollar tree goodies. We can make them over. They give us the foundation to make them our own.

Looks kind of creepy wouldn’t you say? Reminds me of a clown HA! I don’t like clowns and never found them to be fun. Of course yesterday on dateline I heard a spooky mystery about a clown killer, so now I dislike them even more. Moving on now to the project….

The tinsel egg isn’t too bad, but we can still make it even cuter.

All you need for these quick makeovers are yarn, or twine and a glue gun, and some simple embellishments if you like.

FIRST BE sure to cut off all the tinsel. You will want to do this over a trash can or set out a garbage bag on your flat surface. It can get a little messy.

Dollar tree sells both the twine and yarn now. You could even add a little moss, and make the bunny face with buttons, and felt. Think outside the box and come up with your own nifty makeovers.

For this egg, yarn and green tissue paper was used. All it requires is a lot of wrapping. There is no right or wrong way. You may have to use hot glue in between to keep everything in place. Just be careful not to burn yourself.

Display your new pretties near the fireplace, in a basket or on your porch. They sure are darling and far better than the originals. I hope you enjoyed this Dollar Tree Bunny and Egg quick makeover idea.

If you missed the recent DIY Dollar tree Carrot Wreath, be sure to check that out. There is a nifty little trick included with that.
