Cool whip lite bundt cake

By Debbiedoo's Team Published: Aug 1, 2014 · Modified: Oct 21, 2021

Good day everyone!   Hope all is well.

I officially declare, right here, right now..

I am on a diet!  Not a crazy one, but going back to my old ways.  Back in the day I shared a post tips and tricks from my personal trainer.  Words to live by my friends..and I am living it.!

Does not mean I can’t share something lower calorie though that is sweet and yummy.

Today, I am sharing how to make a cool whip lite bundt cake.

The other day I shared how to make cool whip strawberry cookies.

My youngest and I thought we would try to make a cake with cool whip.

Jack, cracked me up. He asked if it was a flop would I share it..

I said absolutely not.  Although,  I have shared flops before here but you don’t come to see those.  Not everything is a win win that’s for sure.

I like to share the good stuff.

Check out my Recipe archives while you are here. You will see what I mean:)

moist and delicious chocolate cool whip cake

Jack and I added a few chocolate chips to give it just a few extra calories.

Sort of felt guilt free without them.

Cool whip lite bundt cake

Sort of a small bundt cake.  If you want to make it larger, just double the recipe.

I happened to get the cake mixes for a dollar each at Target the other day.

I think this would make a fabulous weight watchers treat.  You can even do fat free cool whip.

Thanks for stopping over today. If you are not a regular here, sure would love to see you back.

Prep Time 5 minutes mins
Total Time 5 minutes mins

Ingredients

  • Cake mix of choice
  • 1 tub of cool whip 8 0z.
  • 1 egg
  • Chocolate chips
  • Powdered sugar

Instructions

  • Spray the bottom of the bundt pan with cooking spray. Combine above ingredients in a bowl. Mix well. is a little thicker in consistency. Spread evenly in the bundt pan and bake cake as directed on box. 350 degrees. I did watch it though carefully because all oven temps vary. I believe this was done a sooner than directed on the box. Again, depends on your oven.

Notes

Add whatever you enjoy, nuts, coconut, etc.

I did it according to the box..at 350 degrees. I did check it though several times because I didn’t want to over cook it. Oven temps vary…just keep a watchful eye after 35 minutes of baking.

I’m all for light and delicious, Debbie. I’m on WW this summer and making good progress. Did you figure the WW points for this one?

I did not count the points on this Sara. I only ate one piece though.

Can this be done in a different cake pan? Or cupcake size?
