Dumbster diving with the Doo’s

By Debbiedoo's Team Published: Sep 16, 2010 · Modified: Jan 11, 2016

Yesterday the hubster was off from work. So we decided we would go thrifting or antiquing, both of which we did.  In our journeys we happened to see a dresser by the dumpster that was a real hunk of crap. We looked, we left, and that was that.  Well later that night, my genius husband said to me, “you know we could have used that piece for the shoes out in the garage! Light bulb moment for me.  I said well we have to go back and see if it is still there tomorrow.  Low and behold it was.  So we threw in the truck and off we went.  Came home cleaned it outside real good. I knew I had some spare paint around so I found it, painted and Whala….done!
Check it out.

Can someone say gross???

It was all colored on top of it, and really beat up, I totally understand why someone would throw it away.

Perfect for all these boys stinky shoes!

No excuses to leave them all over the floor…there is no room to leave them there anymore.

Loving my new personalized beach bag!
I will be adding the link tomorrow morning for my thrift party, hope to see you there!

I have a small car, and it was on a busy road, so I passed it up.

Wow Debbie-I got something out of the dumpster(a litter rougher shape) a few weeks ago and it was a dresser with no drawers. I kept thinking -what did I pick this up for-I should just throw it back away-I like your idea-I even thought of a curtain or baskets!
