Hey there….Here you will find

70+ Copy cat ideas inspired by magazines, Pinterest and more

So happy you came to join us today!

I am really flippen excited about this copy cat party. I see a lot of you are as well. Today, I am sharing a pretty painted glass wine bottle. SO let’s roll! I was excited to throw the copy cat party with twist this time around. You know you never know what to expect with me.  I like to shake things up around here! So, Let me first share with you my inspiration for my twist.

First,The ever so lovely and uber talented,

Shannon from Fox hollow cottage.

In the past I have spray painted cans, and loved the look. However, I have NEVER painted a bottle and  I just loved this look. Shannon’s is actually a tequila bottle. Pretty embellished with a broach. Now I did not get all fancy here.. and I used some left over embellishments that I had already. So let’s get ready for the……… I painted a pretty wine bottle that my friend actually brought over one night. She of course drank the WHOLE bottle herself. {HA Jennifer, yes you did} Notice I even copied Shannon’s picmonkey frames:) I used Annie Sloan chalk paint in Louis Blue. Lovely color! Lightly waxed and distressed with steel wool. I cut a strip of burlap, and embellished it with a paper vintage looking flower. Stuck a candle in it, and I have a romantic wine bottle candle. It’s been fun to do this challenge with a twist! I simply could not help myself and had to copy Miss Shannon!

Let’s see what you came up with! All I ask is that you add my button or link back to the party. OH and of course visit a few of the participants…that is the FUN part!

I love both her version and yours. The soft blue of your bottle looks wonderful with the burlap. Now, I’m going to head to the recycling to see what we have for interesting looking bottles.

Love your copy of Shannon’s blue painted bottle. I have “pinned” her bottle to try to copy it too. Thanks so very much for hosting the Copy Cat Challenge with a Twist. I didn’t twist my source up this time…I already had in mind that I wanted to copy the shells in vases from Pottery Barn for this summer…so hard to change a woman’s mind. Are you going to keep the twist part up for the next challenge?
