Good morning friends! I believe the last time I checked in, I mentioned my hubby and I were cleaning up our outdoor Winter/Spring (pollen) mess outside. It was a rough day out there that day for allergy sufferers such as myself. I got through it and was very happy at the end of the day.
Seasonal porch decorating
The easiest gardening for me, is container gardening. I have a little more luck with that each year. You can find my chalk painted urns project HERE
I typically bring a lot of color outdoors. You get a pretty good indication from the welcoming porch, that you are about to walk into a color bomb house HA! Most all my accessories I have had for many years. You can tell by looking at them. Chippy, rusted and well loved. This garden bench has been spray painted over a few times HERE.
Same goes for that rooster. I love spray paint, it can literally transform anything into almost new again.
If I am not spray painting, I may have a paint brush in hand.
I painted this door last year, and I still absolutely love it. I have had many neighbors ask me the color, and say every time they drive by it makes them smile:) You can find my painted door details HERE.
I didn’t even need to prime the door before. It was a really simple DIY that makes a huge difference.
Here is a flower I never kill. My climbing clematis returns year after year after year. I don’t do a darn thing to it. It apparently liked the corner I planted it in.
This tin rooster was a gift a few years back from my Mother-in-law. It is actually a trash bin that I used as a garden container. She found that through Bits and Pieces catalog.
I used a stick from the yard to keep the lid a little tilted open.
I went pretty simple this year as you can tell. Lots going on with the condo renovations and I only have time for so much! I will be sharing some updates soon. It is almost complete.
Truthfully, I don’t like SO MUCH decor and clutter anymore. Not sure what happened to me, but less is more as I get older. I am seriously ready to purge.
That’s all for today folks! Hope you enjoyed a little bit of happy color and seasonal porch decorating. See you back soon. xo
You can always find me over at Home Pressure Cooking, where yes, I am cooking! LOTS of cooking HA:)
